I may be in the minority here and I sure as hell am not excusing the Jeep driver for the asinine attempt at an illegal U-turn, but I would argue that the accident could have been avoided if the OP was driving slower, given there was an obstacle in the roadway. There was no reason for this...
After taking my Maverick in for the second oil change and service at ~11k miles, I was told I have a leaking front axle boot.
I was then told that the axle replacement is not covered under warranty due to my having installed a front end lift/level kit. I had the lift installed professionally...
Had the Maverick in for service yesterday. Got told that the front axle boot is leaking grease. I had actually noticed it on my original wheels so I took a look at the wheels (I still have them) and it looks like the grease was leaking back then at maybe 2k to 3k miles.
Of course they won’t...
If I am going to save $150 a year by driving slower, I’d rather drive faster and save the time, that’s more valuable to me.
I get pretty much the rated numbers but mostly the combined 25 mpg an occasional 28/29 mpg. Under really hard conditions like hills and wind, it’s dropped to 20 mpg and...
It IS sitting low in the rear! For sure I’m adding an inch to the rear.
Weight-wise, it would be a guess. Maybe 1500# for the trailer? Plus another 500/600# of furniture? I figure 2000 to 2500#.
Ran great, handles great, had my foot on it the whole way! CA trailer speed limit is 55 MPH; AZ is...
I know I’m not the first to have an accident in their Maverick but…..Three months in, 10k miles later and today THIS. Rear-ended in stop and go LA traffic. 🤬
My damage LOOKS minor, but the plastic bumper cover could be hiding damage.
Estimate coming tomorrow.
20MPG? That’s all you expect? If that’s the case, you’ll be fine with 245/65-17s. I have Falken Wildpeak ATs and my average is around 24-25MPG. With heavy winds, uphill driving or just plain got my foot into it, It’ll drop to about 22. Under ideal conditions I’ll occasionally get 29 to 30mpg.
I’ve gone years without it and it’s required here. Most likely you won’t get pulled over. BUT, it’s like the old “taillight out” reason people get pulled over. Just one excuse to possibly be harassed. 🤷🏾♂️
It’s an AWD and it does fine, even in some moderate rock washes. Put it in low and slippery mode a couple times in some rough areas. Otherwise the lil Mav did great!👍
Sorry to read posts like this, I think the truck is well worth the wait. I waited 6 months for my July ordered AWD XL .
Now I’m waiting on a November order Hybrid XLT. I doubt it will be a MY2022 but I’m OK with that, given my late order date. I’m glad I don’t need it NOW.
Plus, I keep seeing...
