While you might have fresher fuel from the constant tanker activity, the water in the tank is constantly agitated and doesn't have an opportunity to stay settled at the bottom.
If you plug in a trailer dongle it'll think you're towing something and will turn off BLIS and the rear sensors. Not a good recommendation. While that nuclear bomb will kill the mosquito, the collateral damage is pretty high....
Two related things: the solid one deflects all the air, an has a lot of force on it at highway speeds causing premature tearing. The mesh lets more air and provides less resistance.
Ah, I was thinking it had to do with those insipid theft packages. If it's the finance companies that explains why they didn't recover the unit upon the sale and the package being declined.
