Hi all,
So, the recall will affect the old version of front 4257 Lasfit (even though the recall is for the rear lights outage notification)? Also some of you have had the new T3 4257 Lasfit and the recall did not affect anything?
It's still unclear what caused the fire. If he's fighting with Ford and lawyers this would be important information to know. His first post was an electrical fire and later he mentions: " they literally told me it was effected by the fire engine recall defect. "
What part #? What issue did the old model have exactly? The overheating hyper flash issue?
I have the LASFIT 4257 installed. They work perfect. Although, if you have the signal light on for 2-5min, they will hyperflash which is not an issue as per Lasfit.

YES
Checks all the boxes for my needs in a vehicle. I'm going on 50'000 KMs and it's still smooth. it has enough power to accelerate quick. Ford's 2.0L hybrid system has been proven reliable and it comes with an 8 year warranty.
Agreed, lots of negative threads on here... Many recalls, to me...
I actually didn't do anything... At the time of my order, my salesman and I signed a price protection form. He gave me a copy of the form. During pickup they honoured the agreed interest rate.
I'd asked your dealer about that form...
Do you have the paperwork when you ordered it? What was the interest rate then? My dealer honoured my price protection including the interest rate when I picked it up...
I've never had the issue myself... but reading up on Super Duty forums, seems like flashing the BCM module was the fix, at least for them.

I read there was Escape fires. But 0 Maverick cases from the crankshaft issue. All the burnt Mavericks were EB and cold engine hybrids not related to this.
I respect what ever you decided to chose EB vs Hybrid, you buy what you need, Mavericks are awesome trucks in both powertrain.
But what is up with the trolling? "Happy I chose the EB instead of Hybrid"? Why even mention this? This could have been replicated with the EB engines. Just takes a...
Not sure why recalls bother people so much... It's a 1st year release, it was to be expected especially with all the software configs with the Hybrids. Fords hybrid drivetrain has been proven reliable. I'd be bothered if there wasn't any recalls or TSBs at all.
I went to my dealer in NB in August, gave them TSB-23-2248 (not 23-2060). I didn't have any issues... They found the TSB and did the work, took about 30 minutes and it made a huge difference with the brakes.
Seeing lots of Mavs with axle issues... I'm creeping up to the end of my warranty and my axles are still tight with no issues. That's great, but most likely I'll be paying for new ones when they do break, unless if Ford comes out with a recall.
