  1. Dealer unable to apply low speed regen braking software update

I wonder if they were successful in updating the software in other Hybrid Mavs? ..or just yours? Sounds like they don't have the correct version of the update.
  2. TSB 22-2493 issued for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick grabby brakes (at or below 6.2 MPH)

Not sure why everyone is having issues getting the update done... I showed my dealer the TSB and took them 1h to do. The slow braking is a lot better now. No more clunk sound too.
  3. TSB 22-2493 issued for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick grabby brakes (at or below 6.2 MPH)

From my 30min drive I just took, it seems to be fixed. Crawling is way better and didnt hear clunk sound, yet. Took 1h to service, mechanic said he noticed a difference.. I also noticed a difference at my 1st stop. Still early and hard to tell how much a difference it made, since I have to...
  4. TSB 22-2493 issued for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick grabby brakes (at or below 6.2 MPH)

Thanks for the info on the TSB. I booked an appointment with my dealer this week. Will update once its complete.
  5. Fix (hopefully) for Hybrid with rough and loud idle along with shaking and check engine.

I also have the loud idle and engine shaking when cold out and it's gone once I put in gear. No check engine light yet. Seems like many have this issue and Winter has even started yet. Hopefully Ford finds a fix soon.
  6. Warehouse deal Infinity speakers - mystery solder mess

I think your right, I just found a pic of the back of the speaker on Crutchfield's site. The cap should be there.
  7. Warehouse deal Infinity speakers - mystery solder mess

Bought a pair of Infinity Reference 6532EX at $80 ($CAD), took a chance with warehouse deals... worst case its free returns. Anybody can tell me what's going on with this mess? I intend to clean up the solder, but is the cap added by previous customer?
  8. Coaxial Speakers or Component Speaker System

Newbie question: If I install my new passive crossovers with the new door woofer speaker, I can leave the factory tweeter as is right? It will not damage anything?
  9. Coaxial Speakers or Component Speaker System

Thanks! I'll have a look at those.. I think I found that thread yesterday.. and now realizing I should have maybe gone a different route instead of ordering components with external crossovers. (too much work to snake the tweeter wire in that corner dash and do not want to drill holes). Also...
  10. Coaxial Speakers or Component Speaker System

Many have used Hertz. OR PowerBass OE65C-FD, but might as well change the tweeters while your at it, its a direct fit. I'm no expert.. Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong: For Coaxial (tweeters included in the woofer speaker) if your not adding an amp, stick with a good known brand...
  11. Coaxial Speakers or Component Speaker System

The only X-mas album that is allowed to be played at my house is: The Ventures' Christmas album. Same!
  12. Coaxial Speakers or Component Speaker System

My thoughts as well. No sense of spending money on high end speakers if I'm running it on the stock Mav system.
  13. Coaxial Speakers or Component Speaker System

Yep, I've used the sound & compare tool. To my ears the Kicker 46CSC674 sounded great to my ears, but it's out of stock on the crutchfield.ca also not on sale. I see what you mean for Kenwood KFC-1666, there's definitely more mid in those speakers, reminds me of The Ventures type of sound. I...
  14. Coaxial Speakers or Component Speaker System

I wanted the Powerbass for the easy swap. For the same price ($225+ shipped to Canada) I could get something better... Thanks for your input on Powerbass! I could be wrong but, Crutchfield will give you the door speaker harness, but they wont give you the tweeter harness ($20 on Amazon.ca)...
  15. Coaxial Speakers or Component Speaker System

I was looking at $100 -$150. crutchfield stuff comes with harness and bracket,, which would save me $20+.
  16. Coaxial Speakers or Component Speaker System

I could go that route, it's $225 Canadia money... $100 more. The tweeter OEM connectors are nice, but is the sound better than Hertz 165.3?
  17. Coaxial Speakers or Component Speaker System

Hi all, I want to replace the front door speakers at the lowest cost possible (best bang the buck). Should I even bother removing tweeters if I get coaxial front speakers? OR should I get a component set and replace the tweeters? Tweeters seems to be a pain to replace, wires are short and...
  18. Deep dive look at Maverick XL underside / undercarriage by Munro Live - shows how Maverick can be priced so low

I'm no expert, but I knew that was a transport tie-down bracket... made me question his knowledge a bit. Thanks for the corrections and clearing up some of the stuff.
  19. Canada order banks and private offers?

Why would Canada be in October? I'd check with dealer Sep 15 just in case. Ford.ca says in September sometime:
  20. Hybrid Maverick owners with no issues / problems -- please speak up

No issues. Well, besides the weird slow braking in drive-thrus, I'm used to it now. 8000 miles and couldnt be hapier.
