Just a couple of thoughts...
1: Remove the picture of the truck running while it's overheating, probably not a good thing to admit to
2: Odd that you are at a rest stop with only 28 miles to go until empty
3: Notice any fluid loss? How much coolant was in the reservoir tank? Any sweet smells...
Soooo...why does this thread have the red exclamation point next to it is all I wanna know...and anybody can buy a Riv and write it off as a business expense if you know how, talk to a CPA to learn more...
Didn't originally have a backup plan when this post first came out, but now that I've thought about it for a while, I'd probably get a Tacoma TRD Off-Road Premium...might get one anyway if I get tired of waiting, or my wife gets tired of me asking for one,lol
Perhaps lease the Mav so you can tie the payments into your business tax deductions? Or figure out a way to make the purchase a business purchase to lessen the market sting should it occur?
IIRC, that's the way it's designed to work. Gotta open the tailgate before latching the cover otherwise you risk damaging the seal leading to more water intrusion
The "on" position is the position where all the warning lights on the dash come on. You can reach this mode by pressing the start button twice without your foot being on the brake afaik
In the case you mentioned, right after driving the battery has enough charge to light up the interior. After it's been sitting a while, the battery does not have that same level of charge so the computer doesn't allow the interior lights to come on. Probably a priority thing, Ford would rather...
I mean...that's not too too bad honestly. Now if I had paid somebody to do it and it came out looking like that I would be miffed, but if I did it myself, I might just go over it with a hairdryer and try to smooth the wrinkles, and if it didn't work, just let it ride...
I've heard the same in the Taco FB Group. IIRC, according to the manual, owners need to engage the 4X4 system once a month just to keep things okey dokey
As long as your status is "unscheduled, clean" and you didn't order a Hybrid, you should be able to switch to a Tremor. But bear in mind that doing so will make your order date the day the dealer switches to Tremor. Best days to attempt to make the switch are on Mondays and Fridays, the "system"...
My price before fees was 36340, with X-plan the price was 35510, my OTD price was 37591.35 with the $100 doc fee...but I say "was" not because I've received my Mav, but because I've deleted some things since ordering which should make my price cheaper...
Love the RF!! It was between the RFGT and the Maverick at purchase time, still wonder if I made the right decision sometimes (usually when the weather is nice outside, lol)
