I’ll second the LOMAX Stance. One thing I really like about it is that it’s made of heavier gauge aluminum than most others, it is also very low profile. I’ve seen hail damage on the ones Ford sells.

That does seem like a logical place for installation. What did you do for wiring and crossover? I'm in the middle of of installing the same speakers and am undecided if I'll put them in the same place as the originals and don't know if I should use the provided crossover or just use the wires...

Agreed. I happen to have first seen the LOMAX cover on the Weathertech website and then purchased a different version from LOMAX. I’m really happy with that cover as it’s very low profile and a heavier gauge metal than most others.

I purchased an AVS through AutoZone, which they didn’t offer a few months ago when I checked, earlier this year. It fit well and I had no problems installing it. I suspect the WeatherTech one is made by AVS. I don’t think they make everything they sell.

My two cents is that it can be a great feature, depending upon where and under what conditions one is driving, not to mention the level off attention a driver is paying to the task at hand.

How did you accomplish that? My presumption is that if one follows the DD installation instructions, they go off when the high beams come on, which is of course the legal mode of operation. Do you know which wire you tapped in to?

I suspect that this is not "staining" but rather the gas removing whatever was on the surface of the fender flair. Treat the entire piece with something and I bet all will be good. I've not tried them all, but am really liking this for exterior and interior plastics...
