My location is Canada and costs for new vehicles are a lot higher here than in the States. Cost for an entry level Maverick in Canada is $27K compared to US $20K.
Yes, ecoboost with 4k tow. Difference in price is 44k vs 49k. Our dealer already received one Maverick in a configuration that they didn't order, An xl with a bunch of options. It was only on the lot for 4 days and it was gone. But I did get to test drive it.
My Maverick Lariat with Lariat lux and a lot of options is not even scheduled to be built yet. I ordered it in July 2021. Our dealer tells me that they have a 1st Edition coming in May/June and I can have 1st dibs on it. Ford insisted each dealer have a 1st Edition whether they want one or not...
Buy something to get yourself by until your Maverick is built. In the market we are having right now you should be able to sell the interim vehicle for what you paid for it. For resale if you can find a cheap pickup they are the hottest selling used vehicle right now.
This mirror with home link is what I have been looking for. Thanks for sharing. I was disappointed FORD did not have this as an option. I have 2 garage doors and home security so I use all 3 buttons on our current car.
I used to work as a dealer transfer driver at the dealership a couple of years ago, so maybe they are still giving me staff pricing. We will see when our Maverick finally arrives hopefully some time in the spring. Thanks for letting me know I was quoted a smoking deal.:D
I just priced out the cover at my local dealer here in Canada and was quoted $45 CAD. Usually things like this are cheaper in the US but not always.;) That's about $35 USD.
From what you have said I think the hybrid with winter tires is your best bet. I live in the Canadian Rockies and am getting a 2.0 eco boost AWD. Price is not the main issue for me. My wife wants AWD and you can only get that with the 2.0 eco boost.;)
Thanks for the photos, I am also not 6 feet tall. I like that you can reach the bottom of the box. I am to old to be jumping on the rear tire to get anything out of the box.
Carbon build up on a direct injection is a fact of life. In 100k kilometres (60k miles) you have to walnut blast the intake, it is just part of regular maintenance. I have dealt with this on other direct injection engines. Not a big deal for me. Oil catch can will also help with carbon built up.
