  1. One year living on the road with my Maverick

Print out the TSB for the "grabby" brake problem and explain to your dealer it does not require parts. I did have the EGR sensor mentioned in the TSB replaced but that should be readily available if needed.
  2. Deep Sleep Mode FIXED after 6 weeks! Solution: 12v Battery replacement

  3. Real world fuel mileage MPG results by 2.0 EcoBoost owners - check in here

Yes good for an Eco but here's a hybrid who has gone 10,000 miles and has never reset his trip meter #2. ;)
  4. Top 5 Stock Items to be Modified on Your Maverick?

Live in Ohio and have family in Easton, MD. Always amazed at how much better their weather is and only 5.5 hours away. Average snowfall there is an inch or less per year. Cost of living and housing is much higher there though.
  5. TSB 22-2493 issued for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick grabby brakes (at or below 6.2 MPH)

Yes, not what I would call completely resolved but still a great improvement.
  6. Exhaust material - stainless or galvanized steel?

Northeast Ohio. UPDATE: Sent my dealer the pictures and they were shocked. Taking it in Thursday to see if I can get it replaced under warranty. 2ND UPDATE: Took the Maverick in so the Ford Rep could look at the exhaust. Later got a call back stating they will be replacing all of the rusty...
  7. TSB 22-2493 issued for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick grabby brakes (at or below 6.2 MPH)

Got the TSB done and thankfully the "clunk" is gone. For those that have not experienced it, I would say it is quite unsettling!
  8. Recall #1

Skipping recall #1. Not heard of any Maverick engine fires in all this time. Not worth them mangling everything up.
  9. TSB 22-2493 issued for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick grabby brakes (at or below 6.2 MPH)

The TSB has not been out that long. Probably some have not been able to get scheduled right away. In my case, had it done and is much better. Braking is 90% better than before and the "clunk" is gone. Get it done.
  10. Exhaust material - stainless or galvanized steel?

So I pulled out of the garage and saw multiple rust spots on my concrete. The truck has 4400 miles on it and only been driven in the snow one time. I've added photos of the Maverick exhaust and bottom ones of my 2011 Outback with 274,000 miles and has gone through 11 Ohio winters. Before someone...
  11. Oil Changes - Dealer or DIY

"They left off 1/2 the bolts that attach the protective plate". Which is exactly what I thought might happen and part of my reasoning for doing it myself.
  12. Why do I even bother reading anything they write???

This is totally ridiculous and full of terrible comparisons. https://www.motorbiscuit.com/1-big-reason-2024-ford-ranger-better-2023-maverick/
  13. Oil Changes - Dealer or DIY

$33 for me to do my own oil change on my hybrid. All synthetic 0-20W and Motorcraft filter and the fact I know it was done right. I'm 66 and not afraid to get a little dirty.
  14. Oil Changes - Dealer or DIY

I do my own. What do you think the chances would be of getting your Maverick back from the dealer or any oil change place with ALL of the torx screws back in the engine belly cover??
  15. SSM posted for Hybrid Maverick brake problem: Brakes Grab During Light Braking When Applied At OrBelow 6.2 Mph (10 Km/h) -- 10/21/22

Honestly if the service department at your dealer is that stupid, you should find another dealership.
  16. TSB 22-2493 issued for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick grabby brakes (at or below 6.2 MPH)

Actual update took at least an hour. However my technician found other updates and did them all. No you can not install yourself.
