  1. Trying to decide: XLT vs Lariat Maverick

I may have just decided on Lariat FX4 4k tow non Lux over an XLT FX4 4k tow non Lux for 2 reasons. 1) Dual Zone HVAC has always been a dream feature for me. I run hot and wife runs cool. 2) 6 way manual adjustable passenger seat with height adjustment. Wife has always wanted this feature since...
  2. 1" Suspension lift... Would you do it?

This is the route I would go. Really hope the aftermarket will make lift springs for the Maverick. I currently have a 1" spacer lift on my Outback and am not the biggest fan of the vibrations and harshness it added to my ride.
  3. Documentation Fees at your dealer?

I have access to X Plan if you want to send me your build I can let you know the savings (it's not much btw)
  4. Post your Aftermarket Maverick Parts / Accessories wants here

1-2" suspension lift (NOT just a puck lift!), prinsu-style roof rack, bed rack, raptor style grill, tow hook area fog lights
  5. Real-Life Photos: 2022 Maverick Lariat FX4 (Exterior & Interior)

Can't be entirely sure, but is the passenger seat on the Lariat height adjustable??? I see manual 6 way adjustable passenger seat listed in the 500A group and it looks like there is a cut out for the height adjustment on the side of the passenger seat, but I'm not sure if they consider lumbar as...
  6. 1" Suspension lift... Would you do it?

Most AWD vehicles are way more capable than they appear. Just look up JonDZAdventuring on youtube, he just did Imogeen pass in Colorado in a 2019 Honda Passport. They are in no way rock crawlers, meant for traversing large obstacles, or hill climbs. However if your intent is to get further away...
  7. 1" Suspension lift... Would you do it?

Yup, just didn't want to confuse anyone reading this in the future lol.
  8. Maverick "Rattler" Off-Roading model hinted by trademark application?

Arizona here, we have TONS of off-road tracks just 30 minutes from Phoenix. Mostly desert (obviously) but head an hour and a half towards Sedona and there are stunning views as the elevation shifts from desert to pines. Head an hour further than that and your in Flagstaff on the Colorado Plateau...
  9. Maverick "Rattler" Off-Roading model hinted by trademark application?

Rattler would also make sense, with Ford debuting the Sidewinder trim for the F-Series. They could possibly be setting up 3 tier off-road trims; Rattler (capable, affordable), sidewinder (more capable, more gear for the price), raptor (most capable, most option for the price).
  10. Maverick "Rattler" Off-Roading model hinted by trademark application?

The "Rattler" moniker would make perfect sense to shoe horn the 2.3 ecoboost. Which fits in the C platform, as its available in the Lincoln MKC/Corsair. Then slap the dual clutch rear end out of the Bronco Sport Badlands, add a 1" lift and some 245/65/17 all terrain tires, you'd have a hell of a...
  11. 1" Suspension lift... Would you do it?

But the 2" level is not required to fit a 30.5" tire, you could do that with just the pinch weld trim. The pinch weld is the obstruction, not the wheel's placement in the wheel well itself, which is what a level would fix by pushing it lower in the well. I've looked over his build several times...
  12. Off-Road Maverick Pic & Comment: "Insane how capable this thing was in the trails and through the sand pits."

I spoke with the instagram poster briefly. Said they were testing all different version of awd across the trim levels. So in that line up picture there is XL AWD, XLT AWD and FX4, Lartiat AWD and FX4.
  13. Trying to decide which AT tires to throw on my Maverick hybrid XLT

Tire weight is a huge factor in MPG. I went from a stock 49 lbs per corner setup (wheel and tire weight combined) to a 56 lbs per corner setup when I switched to all terrains on my Outback and it was a 4 mpg hit.
  14. Trying to decide which AT tires to throw on my Maverick hybrid XLT

You must be looking at the Wildpeak A/T Trail, not the Wildpeak AT3W. I've had the Wildpeak Trail in 235/65/17 on my Outback for about 2 years now, and they are tough tires. Quiet, long wearing, strong sidewalls, and no lack of grip in any terrain. Excellent tires for daily driving and having...
  15. Test Drive the 2022 Maverick at the Chicago Auto Show! + Hot Pepper Red Maverick Close-Up

No... those are all terrain. The Pirelli AT/R which are to put it VERY lightly not good all terrains.
  16. Why no FX4 package on XL trim?

They also don't offer the FX4 on XL Rangers last I checked, you can on the F150 but that's such a wide market that it makes sense. XL is a base trim that most dealers don't expect to sell to the general public and are usually marketed as fleet vehicles. Especially with the improved features at a...
  17. Overlanding with Hybrid Maverick

Also 3rd generation and on Montero and Pajeros, 2nd Gen Nissan Pathfinder, and more.
  18. Overlanding with Hybrid Maverick

I go with the Overland Journal's definition (If your don't know them, then look into it), which is "vehicle based adventure travel". Which could be anything from riding scooters across south east Asia, all the way to riding on 40's across the Arctic. Maybe your definition is just too narrow.;)
  19. Any other Subaru Owners That Are Interested in the Maverick?

I currently own a 2011 Subaru Outback 2.5/CVT that is lifted 1.5", with skid plates, 29" tires and a long list of other goodies that I've added to make it more capable off-road. I've been wheeling it every chance I can get for the last 3 years and it is an incredibly capable vehicle, but I'm...
  20. Overlanding with Hybrid Maverick

I'm seeing quite a few people that have started "overlanding" with the RAV4 Prime without any issues and those have the eCVT. 30" tires would likely be fine if you can keep them light, something like the Pirelli Scorpion A/T Plus would be ideal. You'll be changing the already low 2.91:1 final...
