I would not do it at that price. If it were me I'd look for an under seat sub and try to squeeze it behind the back seat. I personally wouldn't worry about it being a hybrid. I'll see if I can get a recording later today.
I wish I had the means to post what mine sounds like. I love the way it sounds. It's "full range" and balanced. If anything, it's on the bassy side. I went for a two hour ride last night just to listen to it to see if I could understand why others aren't having the same experience. I feel really...
I posted this to the original post, and adding here in the hope that everyone reads it.
UPDATE: It appears Ford changed the amp in later Mavericks. Mine is early 22 build. It is labelled B&O on the amp. Later models are not the same. Others are reporting less than satisfactory results with...
I had mine set flat... Right in the middle. After a several listening hours I ticked up the mid and treble a little. It actually drowned out the high end just a little.
I also noticed as you did, some tracks it's a lot more noticable. Some music I'm am shocked at the output, and others are just ok. Guess it depends on what the track calls for. If the music doesn't call for sub tones, you're obviously not going to get it.
I'm using stock amp. The door speakers handle most of the mid bass. The subwoofer handles the sub bass... Hence the word "subwoofer". As stated, you are hearing deeper tones and more punch. So it's doing it's job. Seriously recommend replacing door speakers as well.
Everyone has different...
