That is really encouraging to hear! I was hoping this would be the case. That engine is lively, and an 8-speed auto should allow it to stay in the power band. :)
Yes, I like it. I was able to drive a Lariat AWD locally and it was quite comfortable. The looks are ok to me. I would probably choose a more boring black/gray interior look if I had the option, but I think this will age better than the orange accents in the XLT. :)
This 5x10 utility trailer, upgraded with 4' plywood box sides. I plan to add brakes to it so I can go full weight and still have some margin left over. :)
Eventually I plan to start hauling a work/demonstration trailer for a business we are in the early stages of starting. Off-grid power systems...
Agreed. The Lariat Lux is overpriced for me. Heated seats is about the only thing that I'm gonna miss from that package. It was XLT Lux vs Lariat non-lux that was my decision point. The features are not identical, but they are of roughly equal value to me. The interior is what pushed me to...
The value of the FX4 package depends on a couple things I think:
1. How you plan to use it.
2. The trim level you want.
3. The other packages you are getting, specifically the 4k tow package.
For my build, Lariat with 4k tow package, the FX4 did not make sense. Most of the goodies you get from...
I recommend that you reconsider the FX4. It will only gain you skid plates and drive modes. The bigger radiator etc are included in the 4K tow package and there is no difference in ride height. You spend more and possibly lose a little payload due to weight of skid plates etc. This is totally...
$50,000 markup eh? I’m in the wrong business!
Seriously though, it seems they are charging MSRP. I got a kind of loyalty discount on my order (scheduled for October 25) which was nice. Also got the 36mo 0% financing locked in.
I've loved all my manual transmission vehicles.
'65 Ranchero with a "Three on the tree" manual.
This actually the worst manual I've driven, and I still enjoyed it.
'85 Pontiac Fiero 4-cylinder.
Under-powered but the manual made up for that a bit.
'87 Pontiac Fiero GT.
Blue with white racing...
AWD. Wanted the 4K tow package and appreciate the benefits for driving on snowy mountain roads. No intention to try anything more challenging than the occasional logging road. :)
Agreed on the test drive. However…
It seems unlikely to get to drive on anytime soon as any dealer inventory is likely to evaporate before it shows up. If you have a particular trim and option list, then it would be nigh impossible to drive one like that under the current conditions.
I would...
I had a 2018 Focus ST on which I installed the Ford Performance Calibration (Ford’s warrantied tune).
I shall neither confirm nor deny achieving 150 MPH on a lonely highway in Nevada. ;)
Regarding 0-60 time, I expect that an AWD Maverick will actually be quicker than an ST simply because of...

Dealer: Kendall Ford of Meridian
I did however ask him to remove the spray in liner. He also removed the splash guards because those were showing as unavailable. My priority code went from 19 to 10. :)
Kendall Meridian here too. I ordered mid August and only have the order confirmation so far. My experience with Cody has been good via email, but I haven’t bugged him much since I got the order confirmation.
