The only response that matters lmao. You're one of the few people I love following on this site. You know your stuff! đź’Ş People on this site continuously amuse with their input yet lack of knowledge. "Your tire walls should be wider than your rims to prevent roadrash issues" I had stretch on a...

  6. CV Axle Replacement DIY How-To (and upgrade to Tremor CV)

This right here. This is exactly what happened during the MK3 Focus DCT transmission problem too. People swore up and down that the transmissions were "fine" just cause theirs didn't have any issues when the forums were littered with posts similar to what we see on here with CV axles. I had a...

Thanks man! lol I don't remember if I attached a price anywhere but I got mine for just a little over $200 bones for the CV Axle and nut. It was about $164 and $35 shipping!
  9. CV Axle Replacement DIY How-To (and upgrade to Tremor CV)

Passenger side one started leaking. In the video I explain that grease was being flung everywhere. If you look around the forum, it has nothing to do with being lifted, lowered, or stock. They're just bad CV axles.
  10. CV Axle Replacement DIY How-To (and upgrade to Tremor CV)

Exactly what happened with me. I need the driver side still to have both sides on the tremor axles and it's been out of stock
  11. CV Axle Replacement DIY How-To (and upgrade to Tremor CV)

Jack was there. Just out of frame because it was in a different position at the beginning vs the end.
  12. CV Axle Replacement DIY How-To (and upgrade to Tremor CV)

That’s actually what I’m wondering myself cause I feel like it would save more money in the long run. Only thing I can think of is the redesign being more robust but costing less than tremor to make
  13. CV Axle Replacement DIY How-To (and upgrade to Tremor CV)

    1. It’s not a torque wrench. It’s a half inch drive ratcheting breaker bar my dad has for when he’s breaking bolts on semi trucks. 2. I know. I specified in the video to NOT use a hammer but rather a rubber mallet especially if you’re reinstalling the same CV axle to save the threads. I...
  14. CV Axle Replacement DIY How-To (and upgrade to Tremor CV)

No, mine is the AWD. I'm pretty sure the steps would be the same though. But I don't think you'd be able to upgrade to the Tremor axle like I did. It would just have to be a replacement with the same part.
  15. CV Axle Replacement DIY How-To (and upgrade to Tremor CV)

Edited OP with TQ values as well

  18. CV Axle Replacement DIY How-To (and upgrade to Tremor CV)

Hey all! Below is my video on how to swap your axles if you're looking into doing it yourself. I voided my warranty because I lowered my XLT. So, I went through purchasing and replacing my own. I also upgraded to the Tremor CV axles while I was at it! (Ecoboost only, Hybrids, this would be just...
  19. My CV axle saga

I'm replacing mine myself as well, and I'll be at about $340 total after shipping. But I also bought the axle nuts to go along with the axles
