Quick update: I have a passenger front Tremor axle on the way. I am trying to locate a driver front one but it looks like there's a national backorder. I will be updating as parts become available. Truck will definitely need an alignment as the toe is way off and the inner tire on the fronts is...
Okay I want to revive this thread with some questions:
If I have a non-tremor axle on driver side and tremor one on the other, can it cause issues? I've done a similar thing when I had my Focus when I upgraded a broken CV axle to a beefed up ST one and had it like that for a year and a half...
I'm not only referring to the Lobo with my post. It's more looking at the Maverick in a broad sense. Instead of going with blue dashes, Ford should have gone with a more neutral color. Then it would have been easier to choose accent colors like the orange trims in the tremor, the green and blue...
THIS OMG It makes me genuinely question a lot of the design choices made on the interior. Like the blue only dashes, the orange trims on some models and things of that nature. It makes options a lot harder to decide on.
Getting there! My last visual mods should be done by June. Need to finish some paint-to-matching and get my wheels in. Ordered some Fifteen52s last night! 👀
How has it been for you adjusting from diesel to gas? Is it odd pulling up to non-green pumps? 😝
Edit: Just saw it was a gasser, geez...
Replaced my 2013 Dodge Ram with a 2024 Ecoboost XLT! Loved the Ram but with these gas prices in CA, it's tough to justify paying for a vehicle and paying more than the monthly payment in fuel. Plus, I'm a huge Ford guy and love the ecoboost platform. I owned a a Focus SE Sedan that was a full ST...
I'm subbing cause I eventually wanna do some form of shifting on mine while it's an auto. Debating between steering wheel w/ paddle shifters or wiring up an F150 shifter. Either way, if I could get the feel like the Lobo that would be awesome.
End plan though is MT swap. Talked to a few friends...
Love the build so far man! I'm looking to do the paddle shifters or wire up the F-150 shifter! Good ideas all around! Can't wait to see what wheels you get 👀
Another question , how the heck did you manage to pop off the side rocker panels? I tried on the passenger side, but I broke 2 clip brackets during that process. I know how to remove those lower clips, but not the ones that are at the doors.
I think the fact that OP is claiming they have an EB/Hy is very telling. Not only that, but complaining about that many issues but not really doing any research beyond trusting a dealership and claiming they're "being a decent human being" for the complaining is also telling.
Every manufacturer...
Beautiful Mav man! Kinda the look I'll eventually be at! Question, is there any issues with the front bumper after you cut off those supports? I had the same thought about doing that, but I'm worried about the bumper sagging
Quick update: Air Designs roof and tailgate spoilers installed! Air Designs made it a breeze to do with great instructions on the roof spoiler which was a bit more involved than the tailgate.
I definitely want to revive this thread as I am having trouble: How do you get the rest of the rocker panel off? I want to PTM mine and legit the clips that hold the upper portion of the rocker panels kept breaking. It's a royal PITA. Any tips?
Updated OP with pictures from yesterday. You can see the clamp I used and the grease sling. It’s been about 2 weeks with that leak. Last time with the old clamp, I had that amount of sling within an hour.
It's not, the boot was still on decently when I first noticed the issue. The clamp was just loose. There was still a decent amount of grease in the joint. It's also super dry here in Northern California and I only see pavement. So the grease is definitely not watered down. When I put the grease...
