I don't disagree.
Ford has created such a cluster. You can have folks that have every constraint item and waited a year, now re-ordering and how you find a way to put a priorty on that over say an EcoBoost XLT with no options. Don't think they can. They will build what they have the parts for...
I mean, of course.
Ford SHOULD have better prioritized roll-over orders by separating order dates.
I'd bet there will be folks out there with new orders that get their Maverick before some folks that are roll-over orders.
I think your dealer is wrong. Yeah, if they are sitting on a bunch of un-built 22s it makes sense to only take those roll overs. If a dealer doesn't have any roll overs - why would they be punished and not allowed to place new orders?
Why would Ford clearly advertise that ALL ordering is open...
XL Area 51, CoPilot360 and trailer hitch.
For me it's the perfect level of needs vs wants at a cheaper price. I too thought about bumping to the XLT in hopes of a more likely or quicker build - but I refuse to pay the 2200 for an interior I like less, and standard features that have little...
I didn't really see the value. It is still around a 2200 difference. For that you get interior colors you may or may not like better, power locking tailgate, keypad on the door, arm rest in the back, and some painted wheels.
I want CoPilot 360 regardless, so the XL will get power mirrors...
Yeah - I was excited to add that on if it was an option. But not a huge deal. Currently trying to get either of the 2 dealers to put in an order. XL Hybrid in Area 51 with CoPilot360 and trailer hitch.
I never fully figured out if I could use the Farmers discount along with the recent college grad discount. One dealer said nah, others said they had no idea.
Did CoPilot 360 have rear parking sensors before? I thought it came standard with a rear cross traffic alert thing. Or is that different than rear parking sensors?
That's the tough thing. I didn't really want to mess with adding cruise control myself, don't super care for the orange accents, and don't really care/love the wheels that come on the XLT.
Now that the XL has cruise, it's a no brainer for me. XL + CP360 + Trailer Hitch.
If there was a...
Yeah - I bought a new 2015 Pilot. First new vehicle I have ever bought. Paint had some weird defects with a lot of "trash" that was sprayed over. That was fixed, but there were these deep swirled lines under the paint in one area. Dealer tried to fix it, but would have had to strip it down and...
Seems like it would make more sense to just make the Tremor a special edition with only 1000 builds or something. That seems more palatable than making a whole thing about this new trim, allowing you to order it, but then only having a few actually made. So folks will just sit there for a year...
So they come out with the Tremor, then say it's a constraint.
Also frustrating that the dealer allocation plays a role. I have nothing but smaller dealers that all suck around me. Honestly I'm about ready to just not bother :(
Yeah - that's crazy. It's basically the only thing I wanted to order. XL Hybrid, CP360 + Trailer Hitch.
If the 23 XL does in fact come with cruise control - there is zero desire for me to go to the XLT. I'll really have to decide if I want to bump up to the XLT, or go Ecoboost - or just find a...
I am speaking more in terms of value between Hybrid vs Ecoboost.
I won't be putting a ton of miles on my vehicle, so the gas savings won't be huge. If the Hybrid ends up being 1K more than the EB, it will be a lot more tempting to go with the EB.
If the private offer has some sort of clues about the 23 price - and the hybrid will come it 1K more than the Eco, that's going to make it a lot tougher to order the hybrid for me.
