LOL... oh shucks. Well, I'm the one with the wrong Maverick manual loaded to my dash display computer... which tell me my 2025 Hybrid AWD must NOT be neutral towed! But I imagine the pinch weld info you describe is the same in the outdated manual in my dash. Or I have found the right manual...
I was just about to crawl under my new 2025 XLT AWD Hybrid to check the pinch welds I've been reading about on this thread and another when I read your statement here. So you're referring to that whole strip of "extruded seam" (for want of another term)? I admit I haven't studied my manual...
Our 2024 Gemini with the Ford chassis & ECO-BOOST has pulled our 2024 Maverick XLT since its first outing of about 3K miles in May of 2024. The 23TE is the runt of the litter weight-wise, I think, but with the drive train equal to the others.
We've just switched to the 2025 Mav and gotten it...
I've purchased 2 motorhomes there over the years, but I would not recommend their service Dept. If you choose to go to an RV dealership for this kind of work, I'd check TransWest, a couple of miles south of 66 & I-25. But I highly recommend Lampert Hitch... from experience with 4 Jeeps and 2...
In December, we received our new DEMCO baseplate from etrailer.com, and this past Tuesday I had it installed by Lampert Hitch in Denver, the folks who have installed 4 Blue Ox base plates on Jeeps for us and now 2 Demcos on Mavericks. They are not cheap, but they do good work.
Yesterday I went...
We had a 2024 Maverick XLT Hybrid that we "Neutral Towed" behind a Ford Transit-based Thor Gemini 23TE. In fact we bought it for that specific capability, and it worked well until I gave into temptation and traded the 2024 FWD Mav for a 2025 XLT Hybrid AWD. Had a scare when I went to test the...
Back Doc, we are cautioned not to "crap" on ad pricing, and on your DEMCO baseplate ad I cannot imagine ANYone thinking of doing that. $200 is a rock-bottom fantastic price for this baseplate since etrailer.com currently has it priced online at $735.10.... not $400! There may be discounts...
We upgraded from a 2024 Maverick FWD Hybrid to a 2025 AWD, but our DEMCO baseplate will not fit the new Maverick due to changes made by Ford.
Our DEMCO baseplate was equipped with adaptors to attach to our Blue Ox tow bar, and worked great pulling the 2024 Maverick behind our small motorhome...
One's choice of dealership is a crap shoot, and a new vehicle purchase process does not always expose the real nature of the company. Sorry to hear you got one of the crappy dealerships, but I'm afraid Ford as its share of them. However, I'm still feeling positive enough about Ford that I'm...
As a new buyer of a 2025 AWD Hybrid XLT, I can validate that final clause of your final sentence with this photo from my dash screen view of my Maverick's owners manual. That sure rattled me until I could prove it was wrong!
Thanks fellow RV-er! In my case it was the second HTML doc I looked at that was finally the right manual for our new XLT AWD. Wish Ford had actually loaded it to my dash instead of the out-dated one. Wudda saved me a week of trauma. LOL
Our 2024 XLT Hybrid with FWD was really doing just fine for us, plus it was paid off. Did I really need AWD this badly... just because we live in Colorado? Hmmmm Just because we've flat-towed behind a motorhome, we owned 4-door Jeeps - king of flat-tow for years... until we down-sized our...
That's good to know, Dave. As others have said, there are times and circumstances that sitting still in the toad once it has been disconnected can be very inconvenient for a number of people, including the sitter. Blocking passage while sitting locked in one's vehicle - maybe shouting through...
Yes, I went through serious trauma when my dash screen popped up with a warning that I could not "Neutral Tow." A trip back to my dealer and a great conversation with the sales manager walking me through a YouTube video he'd found showing us how to do the settings. Probably by someone here...
