Thank you, thank you, thank you. I would have had no clue! There is no outline there, what is there is a little plastic door that has an electrical connection to it. I assume that is what will sense the fob being there.
I certainly did. Says to look under starting and stopping, which has ~ 120 hits on a search, none of which appear to be related to using the mechanical key, unless you have the mechanical key slot as shown, which I do not.
Have a 2024 Maverick Lariat. Ford says:
"The backup slot can be found in the console storage compartment, cup holder, or another location depending on the year and model of your vehicle."
I have looked high and low for this and cannot locate. If my key fob fails, I thought you could start the...
Pumping the brakes sounds like the correct thing to do. I was also taught to press on the emergency brake pedal, which I guess has faded into oblivion. What would happen if you pull on the parking brake button?
I did not order the film, but it did come on the Mav Lariat I purchased off the lot. It seems to make sense that it would help. The issue I had (still have) was that there were noticeable bubbles in it that dealer said they would take care of. After several phone calls and visits where they...
Thanks for all the responses. The one that makes the most sense to me is that DTE is not based on the trip odometers but is a third measurement that averages the last ~250 miles. It's too bad that cannot be easily accessed to reset to a more current driving method.
I apologize if I have missed the answer to this in threads. I reset trip 1 and trip 2, yet distance to empty doesn't change. If I'm going 60 MPH I'll get over 32 mpg, if I'm going 80 I'll get about 24mpg, yet distance to empty doesn't change. What am I missing?
I'm not sure the outputs ever worked. And yes, I did procure an extended warranty thru Allstate, $20 a month seemed like a reasonable deal extending full coverage to 10 years/100k miles.
Purchased Lariat, turbo gas, in April and never checked the 120v outputs until recently, no output. Went back to dealer in October, couldn't look at for a couple weeks, could not provide loaner in mean time. Scheduled a service call where they could provide loaner as they had no idea how long...
I did not, I was very comfortable that the fasteners would not hit anything behind the panel. I could have stretched the net further on the top right but that would have impeded getting behind it to place water bottles.
It seems I never have enough room for passenger water and coffee; and my water, thermos and coffee. And when I place one of those in door compartment it ends up falling out. I found this stretchable cargo net on amazon. It comes as set, 2 sizes 10 x 18 and 10 x 22. I used the smaller one and...
