Full bonnet wrap. I can't say I'm thrilled about the look. It kinda matches the tonneau cover. But I also think it is function over form. If this helps dissipate the glare it will be well worth it.
I end up dropping the sunvisor (which knocks out the sun) and raising my hand to block the bonnet reflection. And moving around in seat to get rear view mirror and or reflections out of way. Going to try a flat black bonnet vinyl wrap.
If you're talking the strip at top of windscreen, that won't help. If you're talking the entire windscreen, I'm not sure that is even legal. And is not a viable alternative to me.
Reflections are coming from bonnet, not the dash. Glare off dash, to me, is non-existent. Glare is not dependent on season, if the sun is low in morning or evening and I'm driving towards it, the reflection off bonnet is very irritating. As sun gets higher I'm hit with both direct sunlight and...
My luck heading east the AM and west in the PM I get hit with multiple sun reflections off bonnet. What's your experience with matt or satin wrap for bonnet?
You're correct, I had forgotten about that. When the first windshield was replaced I was amazed at how much clearer the view was without all the chips and nicks. This last replacement was with a 3rd party windshield thru safelite and not a Ford OEM. Haven't had it long enough to compare chips...
Have driven vehicles for over 60 years and never had to replace a windshield. I'm now on the 3rd windshield with my Maverick. Are they more susceptible to cracking? Or has my luck run out!
Thanks for the replies. Carpeting has no cutouts but I do feel where there may be a gap. Not going to tare up carpet to replace. I'm guessing the dealer did not replace as 120V outlets (under warranty) quit working and they had trouble finding where the problem was.
