So feels like this issue is not going anywhere until Ford issues a TSB/Recall:
Issue - Going into Deep Sleep mode even after driving it a substantial amount of time.
Solutions(but not limited to) - TCU re-program, Wiring Harness Change, Cable overlay. A bunch of these are recalls and I've...
All these solutions: paused mode/ deleting Ford Pass.....putting the battery on a trickle charger, changing the battery...definite solutions that I would explore but pretty unacceptable for a new car. Why should I have to do extra do prevent this? I already went the extra mile to buy a Nocco...
[Disclaimer: I've been experiencing deep sleeps for my truck on and off since I got it in '22. I've had the battery changed out once, the TCU reprogrammed, and most recently, the recall for the 12v battery cable overlay installed]
So for the past few months, my truck almost instantly goes into...
Also fyi, my local Krown response to the fuel sensor:
Ford has had issues for more than a decade with their fuel sensors on many vehicles and would blame any style of oil rustproofing for the fault codes. Krown corporate hired a private firm to test them and the results indicated that Krown...
Wondering if anyone can diagrammatically indicate where the fuel pressure sensor is located exactly?
I did Krown last year and thankfully have had no issues but I plan on going again this year but am now hesitant with this known issue
[TAKE AWAY FROM THIS POST] - don't do factory spray in bedliner, do aftermarket as it is better and only marginally more expensive.
For those fools (myself included) who asked for factory spray in bedliner, you probably noticed by now that they don't spray a lot of spots on the tailgate
The...
bare minimum the dealer should do is tell you the fault code so you could investigate on your own. Plenty of people post here the issues they have with their new mavs related to the fault codes.
here's my dealer's response to whether it's a new part or not...(it isn't)
"The exhaust heat exchanger we have for your vehicle is not an updated part. Yours failed due to an internal fault with the module. I believe the module has been updated as we have replaced multiple exhaust heat...
Good points! But I would contest and question what position the valve is in when it's not in operation./broken. I'm assuming when the valve is not receiving any power, the valve is open which allows the exhaust to go straight out to the muffler and not routed through the exchanger. Therefore...
UPDATE:
Heat exchanger part is in. Not sure how it's so fast on my end since I'm in Toronto, Canada and only been waiting about a month. Some ppl have been waiting half a year...I don't get how this supply chain gets allocated. Anyways, will keep y'all posted. Doing the Airbag recall and heat...
Has anybody here got their friggen heat exchanger CEL situation fixed yet? All I see is "parts are backordered and I've been driving with the CEL for months"...
As I'm part of the bandwagon, just want to see if anyone has actually gotten the parts to have it fixed and how the experience was...
you know what's interesting is that I got the error code for the heat exchanger a few weeks ago and took it to the dealer to order the parts. But just yesterday, the CEL turned off....Not sure if thats a good or bad thing...lol
from my guess (and sorry if I missed what the OP said was the culprit), I'd put good money that the CEL was the heat exchanger which is a consistent issue with all Ford hybrids. Replacing the heat exchanger requires a completely new exhaust by the way it's designed. The parts are backordered...
just take this food for thought (and I'm sure many have already posted here about that).
Most people will post in forums when they have a question/problem with the car. Not as many people will post when they are satisfied with the car (typical human nature).
All the problems with the hybrid...
For now it seems ok (no deep sleep) but we'll see a few months later. Changing the battery and re-tightening the harness connection may be temporary bandaid solutions.
TSB is referenced here - https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/hybrid-harness-tsb-22-2340-no-crank-no-start-with-impacted-dates-mavericks-built-on-or-before-may-13-2022.21114/
Dealer should straight up replace the wiring harness since they already replaced the battery esp since you're...
