correct, lariats have the led strip on the top third of the housing as the DRL's, so that's already done for them, just wire accessories/additional lights to that and its' easy peasy
Yesterday I tried to tackle this again, to no avail. I drove up to a place that had full floor to ceiling glass so I could see which lights were doing what with each change I made, and no matter what combination of things I tried, I couldn't get 'just' the parking lights to be the DRL's...
So its my first time with forscan, went in there to get familiar with it.
First I changed 'drl to include park lamps' to enable:
Next scrolled down and modified each low beam to be 'low beam only' instead of 'low beam and DRL' (do this for Left Low Beam as well as Right Low Beam):
Save...
soooooo, just fired up forscan for the first time, enabled the other drive modes (eco&sport) then ventured into the lighting section. I told the drls to be the parking lights and told thr low beams to not be DRLs and voila! I got my wish, drls are now my parking lights. side note, drls are...
So since I also have an XLT with the white/yellow lasfit parking lamps, i keep the DRL's set to OFF and just turn the headlight knob to 'parking lamps' when I want my white led's on.
And I just made a video, and after turning the DRL's to on, still daytime here, it doesn't appear anything...
it depends if its daytime or night time, in the daytime the XL/XLT DRL's are indeed the headlights. then at night, obviously with the photocell telling the truck its nighttime, it'll engage the full lighting package and your parking lights would be on.
Trust me, i wish the parking lights...
i've been paying attention to the screen brightness the past few days, and its pretty sad how dim it is. especially in day-time with the back-up camera, i have to friggin squint and really pay attention, more than i should have, to the screen, when reversing looking for obstacles. did they...
In forscan, can we change the XL/XLT DRL's to be the parking light and not the headlights ? Since i did the lasfit switchbacks, i'd like the parking light to be the DRL's and then add more lighting from there.
Thanks in advance,

makes a lot more noise, any turbo whine I had hoped to hear is drowned out by ford's tuning and having the bov recirculate to the intake, that's what you hear the most. I've had turbo 2 litres for long time but like buschur said, they have these ecoboosts tuned weird for torque targets. feel any...
