I think I've worked out what I'll be ordering on August 2nd.
This is based on the 2022 builder and 2023 leaked color options.
Ordering with Randall Ford in Fort Smith, AR
-Lariat Trim
-Hybrid powertrain
-Velocity (Atlas) Blue
-Co-Pilot 360
-Spray-in bed liner (optional if its a constraint)...
I wish Ford would make the Co-Pilot option have the Adaptive Cruise and Lane Centering.
Just took a road trip in my wife's car which has all those features and WOOOO it's really nice.
If I was a potential buyer, Iād definitely not order a hybrid for MY2023. Yeah, you all should stick to Ecoboost and steer clear of the hybrid. Especially if itās an AWD hybrid system. š
Iām still wondering if that Lux package with the SIBL is keeping peopleās orders in purgatory.
Has anyone gotten the factory SIBL at all since they switched the Lux packages?
Iām curious if this is whatās causing some people to not get their Mavericks? Your BOM might still show a spray in liner and not the drop-in liner so itās in manufacturing purgatory?? š¤·š»āāļø
I test drove a car from there years ago and laughed at the salesman when he tried to sell me on the 100 year/100,000 mile warranty. He really thought that was a major deal.
Price match guarantee? Someone send me a super good deal on a used XL.
So with Ford calling the Maverick an icon and the fact that the C2 platform is close to the Mach-Es GE1 platform, this idea of a Maverick Lightning isn't too far-fetched.
I, personally, would be putting down a reservation THE SECOND they opened them up.
Markups right now are the reason Iām not even considering a Maverick until I can order a Hybrid again and making sure I get the price I want in writing from a sales manager. I donāt want to pay mark up.
This market is going to crash at some point unless the car companies just keep inventory low...
I love being out of the main buyer categories. Iām a 30 year old male who just realizes that I donāt need a full-size or mid-size truck. I took one look at a Maverick XL in-person and knew it was the perfect size for my needs. I liked the modern but utilitarian interior and both power options...
