I have had a truck for my daily driver since I bought my Toyota long bed new in 1977. My needs were commuting, camping, and occasionally hauling something in the bed. That truck was my SUV before there were SUV's!
My needs are simple, a small(ish), good fuel economy vehicle with a bed. My...
The biggest bitch for me is not being able to cheat on jacking the front end high enough to get to the back screws - that and the water running down my arms into my pits cause it was a rainy day ;-) Once I raised it high enough it was no big deal doing an R&R. Next oil change I am going to hit...
I personally think the Tesla Truck makes dumpsters look good. That said, my son showed me this tonight and I thought I'd share it since there is lots of talk regarding a new Ford EV truck.
Did your OSB keep the gravel out of the hinge and space between the bed and tailgate? I hauled a bunch of 5/8 minus in my ranger and the sound it made when I closed up the tailgate was horrible. The mav has some plastic parts in the hinge that look like they would be torn up pretty easily.
#3 also wouldn't give them their pound of flesh from the folks that charge at home.
Something is going to have to be done - especially if more people move to hybrids and EV's. Lowering the CAFE standards and encouraging people to drive gas guzzlers, combined with the administrations war on...
I hear ya, but since you are in Oregon, is pay per mile a thing, either voluntary or mandatory, and are you doing it?
Below is a link to the information that state is sharing on their plans. Supposedly the electrification fee for tabs, $75 for hybrids and %150 for EV will go away. Other than...
Since the price of gas is up I was checking to see what Washington was doing with road usage charging. They claim "Four states have adopted RUC programs: Utah, Oregon, Virginia, and Hawaii "
If any members are from those states I'd love to hear anything you can share about the programs. Is it...
I love my hybrid but it still pisses me off to have to pay over $70 to put a measly 14 gallons in the tank. We don't drive much and certainly can afford the gas we have to buy, but I feel for families on a tight budget that are driving gas guzzlers because that is what they could afford.
I had deja vu reading about your hot price on a loaded XLT - same thing happened to me. I found mine online with a price around 3K under MSRP. Texted the dealer with the vin and said that was the truck I wanted for the "sale" price. I was informed the sale price had every possible rebate...
Anybody worried about widespread adoption of EV's driving up electricity prices should be crapping a brick about how much energy the data centers are and will be consuming.
A new Chevy Bolt uses ~ 28KW of juice to go 100 miles. Try "googling" how much power does a data center use. Hint -...
That is what I have been doing. I turn it on when I am driving around and off to park. Pretty simple push of the button and when I leave I just hit it when I'm hammering the drive mode button to get into Eco.
It's funny how close new pricing is to some of the CPO's especially for the Bolt.
Here is one close by me 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV Hatchback, 2LT FWD, 17.501 miles, asking $25774. Makes a new Bolt for right around 30K sound attractive.
We are (sort of) looking a Bolt. Don't really drive enough to justify a new one but that may not stop us! I hear you about the electric truck - I don't want to drive something full size and enjoy my XLT Lux too much to consider a stripped down slate.
You bought your Bolt new?
