yes the manual says 10k miles we have proof of that.
We also have proof that oems are paid (in carbon credits) for putting longer oil change intervals in the manual by EPA. same goes for lifetime fluids in transmissions. all the "engineers know best" info is thrown into question then in my...
Their is a bigger gap than that. If you wish to study oils you would also know that the additive package makes up %40 of the oil which is waht you are paying for Supertech vs mobil1 and the other 60% is the base oil. Their are 5 groups, groups 1-4 are easier to understand. Some "full synthetic"...
My advice is just change the oil sooner! that fresh half synth oil is still good enough for some mileage! you get the free change and you will get full synth. I would say on an NA engine it would not upset me. At least they did not lie and say it was full synth or didn't even really change the oil
Tire wear has more to do with Alignment and tire pressure than driving faster. Acceleration from start to stop very fast would be the exception that put's more wear on tires (if this truck weighed 6000lbs and had a 2sec 0 to 60) but we are talking 10 mph more on highway.
I am guessing here, but I think the engine does whatevery engine does and operate in "closed loop" mode when cold. The coolant is NOT flowing pumps are off until the engine heats its coolant enough then the pumps open the heat the rest of the fluid in cold with fans off, then at temp the fans...
nice. Yeah pricier fluids could be better. For engine oils I know that mobil one and amsoil etc have better/higher grade base oils like grade 4(real full synthetic) vs grade 3 (fake synthetic) not to mention additives which are %50 of motor oil.
Idk about atf since it's a hyralic fluid but it's...
That is true! i assumed they shared the systems. They do have 2 separate coolant reservoirs that are made as 1 unit to save cost so you are right. The smaller one is used for battery, ECU's and motor unit. The big ones engine only. I looked at the hybrid diagram before posting and did not see a...
usually on newer cars the whole system has to blow (side curtains, knees, etc), then the ecu has the be changed. sadly these airbags are very overpriced new and a proper title would need bags not used ones.
High voltage traction battery cooler, electric motor radiator, high voltage battery radiator are all real parts in the diagram. My comments below were wrong and missed the second parts diagram apparently it has 2 separate cooling system thus I has to separate diagrams. I am not use to working on...
the issue with everyone quoting the regulation stop is that it's being held up in court right now with California + other states suing and pending a hearing date later this year. Then if California loses it will file a jury trail THEN if they lose it will go to senate or whatever tf. UNTIL the...
I have read this, but I have also read that they still make some amount of noise that is " normal ". They did take springs from someone here and attempt to study the issue.
