...and now the waiting game begins.
But believe me when I tell you that it'll be well worth the wait once you get it in your hands. It took about 8-mos for mine, but I couldn't be happier... well, unless I could be rid of that infernal 'Stop/Start' function, and have a conventional Shifter in...
Wondering about other owners' opinions/feedback regarding the different TMS settings.
And what performance differences has anyone noticed when using 93-octane fuel?
It's an issue no matter the color...chips too.
I applied a good quality (3M) paint protection film to the most vulnerable areas on the nose of mine. Though it required a definite "learning curve", the process is pretty straightforward.
And the film is in visible once applied.
I don't know for...
Very true, what you observed about the handling.
And it handles bumps, RR-Crossings, etc. like an old Buick Electra, LOL.
Ford really did their homework on the chassis work...at least in the AWD format.
Nothing to worry about.
There's a learning-curve whereby your truck will adjust to your driving habits.
I took delivery of mine, equipped the same, and noticed the same thing at first.
I love mine, rides better than my Aviator, gets great mileage, and it's really QUICK.
The only things I don't...
Yes!
I went back and forth on color choice so many times my head hurt...ended up going with Oxford White. Am very glad I did, because it really makes for unlimited customization possibilities.
As shown in the pictures, I went with the Chip Foose-inspired theme for my XLT.
First 2 pics are "as...
Which color did you get? I'd like to order the same, it looks like a perfect match for the dark plastic body-cladding.
Also, have they held up well?
Thanks.
Lots of restrictions on trucks in IL; they give the cops tons of excuses to pull you over.
Cannot drive in the inside lane on highways for instance.
Prohibited from any street designated a 'Boulevard'.
Many of the restrictions make no sense for something like a Maverick, but technically...
Rough dimensions, measured on outside of truck...as a trapezoidal shape:
Width across the top=52-1/2"
Width across the bottom=58"
Height (measured at max, along vertical centerline)=33"
I just took delivery of my Maverick a week ago, ordered/purchased under the Z-Plan. My father worked at Chgo Stamping for 30 years. He died in 2010, but the Z-Plan was still available to me through his surviving spouse, my mom.
Names, SSN's, relationship to Retiree info were all required to...
I agree regarding the ride height.
There appears to be something going-on with the rocker-panel design. In some of the close-up shots, I definitely can see a series of 'clips' or something, as though some distinctive piece of trim would go there but isn't installed on this prototype.
Unless...
Am in Wisconsin.
Rec'd formal notification that mine had been "built" on May 31st.
Rec'd formal notification that it had been "shipped" on June 4th...with the anticipated arrival at my dealership between July 1st and 7th.
Dealer advised that it probably would arrive a week or three later...
Actually, the original Ford Maverick has arguably an even more similar "origin story" than the Pinto (which first hit the market a little later); that Maverick was based on an already existing model (the Falcon), as is the Maverick Truck (Escape).
I had one of those original Pintos, and liked it...
...mine was a match to yours, and likewise ordered 10/21;
Dealer contacted me to recommend dropping the "Lux-package" if I wanted to help expedite production.
I dropped the Lux-pkg, and soon after received a production date and VIN number...my Mav is scheduled for wk of 5/16.
I'd suggest that you hang-in there.
My order date was the same as yours, and two weeks ago I received the coveted email stating that my Mav had been assigned a VIN number and production date (week of May 16th)...XLT EcoBoost, AWD, 4K-Tow, Fancier Wheels, sliding rear glass.
At the urging of my...
All I can tell you is that I just received an email from Ford corporate, informing me that my Maverick had been scheduled for production the week of May 16th...along with its VIN number.
I didn't sign-up for any special notifications, so I would assume everyone gets an email confirming...
