When was your truck built? Iām wondering if this is something that was maybe already rolled into my truck at production, or if you hit the OTA lotto this week and Iām just one of thousands in the queue waiting for my number to get called š¤
I may be looking for something different thatās most people, but I have the Lariat seats and Iām looking for something that breathes a bit better than the Pleather.
Iām curious, are you talking about an OTA software update, or something involving a Mongoose cable and an FDRS subscription?
Based on my experience with other Ford products that receive OTA updates, not everyone gets the update, just because it exists. Many people in other Sync4 vehicles wait...
The floor tie downs are pre-cut. The rear tie downs had to be cut, but were already marked where to cut. The cubbies were marked, but I chose to take them out, install the whole BedRug, then cut the openings in place to make sure they lined up. The side tie downs rails were not marked, I had...
The sounds are required and regulated by federal law anytime the truck is driving with the engine off below a certain speed. It is more noticeably in the Maverick Hybrid than it is in my EVs.
The existence if the sound and the nature of the sound is mandated by federal law as of a certain date, so early hybrids were allowed to be silent, but anything newer cannot be silent.
Itās like indoor/outdoor carpet that is fused to a foam base material. In the bottom of the bed, the foam is undulated to match the bed shape, creating a very flat cushioned surface. Mine is under a hard tonneau, but the little bit of water that has made it in has dried up quickly.
The āstrange soundsā you refer to are the federally mandated artificial noises that were put into place because early Prius drivers were apparently mowing down all the blind pedestrians in parking lots with their stealthy quiet cars. š
I see no references to the 2025 model year on the Openpilot site.
I heard that Ford was planning to start using encryption to prevent these types of systems from taking control of the car. Do we know if there is an issue with 2025 mavericks, or do we expect they will be the same as 2024 models?
Iām not impressed with it either. The miles to empty display seems more useful. Maybe since it is all a screen, we could possibly see a software update that changes the way it looks/works
Thereās a setting for secondary speedometer the changes the main speedometer to the alternate units and makes the normal units a smaller display. That seems the most useful for short term. For long term, I think you just go into general settings and change the units for the whole system.
Mine is a 2025 AWD Hybrid with the 4K towing and the factory lugs are 13/16ā outside hex with m14x1.5 inside threads. My factory lug wrench is also 13/16ā.
If you got lugs that were too small they were probably m12 rather than m14. The m12 lug nuts are used on several Ford models that use the...
Stock lugs and included lug nit wrench are 13/16ā, not 7/8ā. If you buy 7/8ā lugs, be sure and buy a bigger lug nut wrench to carry so you arenāt stranded with a flat and no way to take the lug nuts off.
I bought these;

Their +1 +2 -1 -2 etc, are wheel diameter changes and the tire sizes they recommend will match the rolling diameter of the OEM tires, under either the original or alternate wheel sizes.
They donāt have an option to show that you want tires that make the overall diameter of the tires larger...
OP said he was looking for something slightly larger than stock. I donāt think Dicount or Tirerack shows larger tires unless you know what size you want and search by size
I suspect there were going to be delays in getting trucks to the dealers if they were all backed up an the bed-liner place that Ford uses. When I was shopping for my Lariat, every 2025 I looked at had the bed liner delete on the window sticker.
Depending on the trim level, your truck will have Lane Keep Assist, which nudges you back if you cross the line, or Lane Centering which continuously hold you in the center of the lane when the cruise control is engaged. I think truck with Lane Centering may do Lane Keep Assist, if cruise...
Normally such things are not discussed in public forums⦠I would never do something like that
I do find, however, that one of these āgrip exerciseā balls to be useful for reducing arm fatigue while driving under certain conditionsā¦. just for keeping the non driving hand from cramping up⦠š...
Lane Keeping, a feature found on XLT (lux?) trim, will not follow curves well. It will ping pong back and forth.
Lane CENTERING, which is included only on the Lariat, will follow curves very well, up to a point, itās actually pretty close to the early versions of Blue Cruise, but without the IR...
