That's a really low batch number. You should most certainly get built late Monday or early Tuesday. I guess not many are scheduled for next week. Mine was 3689/4056...no surprise it didn't get built until the end of the week.
You won't be able to add the 4k package at the dealer. It uses a different transmission final ratio and has the integrated brake controller. These would be next to impossible to add on at a reasonable price. Best bet is to hold out for one that has it.
So, I was somewhat wrong. I finally did some experimenting today and I was surprised to find that you can start Android Auto (usb connected), then press the 1st button on the radio and get the choice of audio. I started playing from my USB, and then pressed the AA button and it went back to...
Not sure if it was mentioned, but I'd certainly plan for a service stop/Oil Change during that trip, maybe halfway. That's a lot of high stress miles on the ecoboost.
Yeah, if it is still in Sonora, then you won't have it till the end of June or longer. Has your dealer looked into it at all? Maybe get in touch with the sales manager if you can.
Is that your final ramp location? Maybe just waiting for a truck load to your dealer? 1-3 week delay after getting off the train is common and the dealers never seem to have an answer. They just show up.
That's a bummer. Mine showed built on 4/16, shipped by 4/22. I picked it up on 5/15.
Something is not right with the movement of your truck. I wonder if it was damaged somehow. I would think they have trains pulling out almost every day heading to different parts of the country.
Spent half the morning looking into the Nakamichi option. It is more expensive than the Puzu C7 and there doesn't seem to be a lot of support or user reviews for the model I could find that is available from US sellers. (NDSK4065AU from Beach Audio).
Overall, I think the extra $110 or so for a...
I think one of the custom harness builders may have some Key200.4 in stock. Otherwise, I've signed up for notifications from all the vendors that seem legit. Partsexpress is estimating stock on June 2. We'll see if that is true. Damn stifling amount of choices for component speakers these days...
I'm thinking in that configuration, it would require separate wires to be run up into the dash for the tweeters. Also, I'd have to put a capacitor on the 6.5" to give a 6db high pass around 80Hz and make sure I tapped the subwoofer before that...
Lots to think about. I'm looking at the Puzu...
Less than 7K miles per year on average? That's not a really a commute to work, that's practically walkable! The average person does about 15K miles a year. Anyway, nice old Ranger you had. My dad had a similar 1992 model for a while.
I thought about the Powerbass, but I saw some scary reviews where the surround glue gave up after two years.
Also thought about the Focal Inside drop in components (at a reduced price from a certain seller) and the Key 200.4, but the Key seems to be sold out everywhere.
Does the Key work in...
Nice job! I had no idea that Ford had that much DSP/EQ on the signal. Holy crap! My old days in car audio (80s-90s and last install was 2010 in a MS3), the head units had relatively flat outputs and we adjusted crossover points and levels to make it work. I never messed with DSP other than on my...
Everyone comments on how small the OEM magnet is, but fail to realize that they are comparing a rare earth magnet to a conventional ferrite magnet. The rare earth (usually neodymium) are much more powerful for a given size. OEMs do this for weight and space savings.
Now, not saying the OEM is...
