Mavericks' 199.7 inches long and 194 of it looks OK and it's totaled. Didn't even crack the taillights. I'm shopping insurance right now and blown away at the cost. My 23 Maverick cost more than my wife's 24 Honda CRV
I have pumped 2 more gallons in after the first click on the Mav. Always top off rental cars 30 miles out of airport (cheaper and more accessible gas stations) so gauge still shows full at drop off.
Sad if you want an XLT in Eruption green and don't want the blackout package you are stuck with the blue interior. Can't be anymore expensive for FORD to offer the black interior which goes with every exterior color option. I'll stick with my Alto Blue 2023 with all the discontinued features.
Let's do a survey. I'm not savvy enough so maybe some one can set it up to keep a running total with the following questions:
1. I got the available wiring harness and eliminated the start/stop.
2. I turn it off when I first start the engine.
3. I turn it off at the first stop I make because I...
Hey Dan,
Also going with TNUTZ on all the hardware and it looked like I could shorten those crossbars a little. Looking to carry 2- 12' kayaks. Like your set up. This is a very cost friendly way to go. Thanks
Hey there Blacksmith,
Getting ready to do the same thing on my Maverick. Got all the hardware figured out. My question is the crossbars from Amazon. They come 68" long. Did you go with that length or shorten them any. regards Jeff
I like this, Looks like on your 4 risers you got the slots on 3 sides and flat to the outside. It is available with slots on 4 sides which would give you a fastening point on the outside for accessories. Just a thought. This is a very wallet friendly way to go with the Amazon crossbars and even...
Hey Graboid
Hey Graboid,
Nicely done getting that upright close to the cab. That Elevate rack looks to be at it's lowest setting and still 3-4 inches above the cab. Would take some cutting to get it lower. What do you haul? Kayak or paddle board would be well off the roof which is what I'm...
thanks Tom,
The 2x6's are high enough to put some things under and a cooler will fit in the space near the tailgate. Also the tonneau will cover everything. Lumber is not fastened just sitting in the factory slots. Got the truck in November so this was my quick solution for ski season. Will...
For those in snow country where you get a cycle of thawing and freezing and get a lot of slush on the roads I experienced a massive buildup of ice in the wheel wells to the point of a lot of rubbing (245/65/17 Falkens) when turning and all kinds of noises as the slush accumulates and builds up...
great video Maniac. Thanks for posting. I have the same results with my AWD running Falken AT3's here in Colorado and I haven't needed any mode but normal. Curious , what brand is your bed rack? I'm looking. regards
