I now have an open case with Ford about this issue. Will be taking it (back) in to my local dealer on my next day off.
I will say that for both this and the other issue I had a case opened for, Ford has treated me very well. We’ll see if this one gets resolved, but I have zero complaints about...
Really excited to use this. However, I received an error during setup and can’t proceed. The only inputs are my email, password and VIN which I have verified are all correct.
Traded in a 2021 Tesla Model 3 LR and dealer gave $51k. That was close enough to break even for me that I didn't want to bother with trying to sell it myself to pull a profit.
The ambient temp sensor on my Mav had to be re-wired by the dealership. They worked with Ford to make that happen. Not sure if it's the fix for this issue, but the sensor reporting the wrong temperature was what was happening with mine.

Yup. Temp dropped here in NC overnight and this morning it was much worse in the cold. Drove over the steep drop coming out of the drive in my neighborhood and it sound like the entire thing clicked at once. That was the loudest I've heard it.
I've got a front windshield "click" that's exactly as you describe. As best I can tell it's coming from the driver's side top of the windshield. Even the most minor bumps make the clicking sound happen.
My understanding is that they re-connected it on an existing circuit because it was shorting on the circuit it was designed to use. I'm glad it worked but obviously that doesn't inspire confidence. Could also be perfectly fine though. Time will tell.
Final update: Much to my surprise I got a call early this morning saying the truck had been repaired and was ready to be picked up. I was told that the folks at Ford had the local techs install a circuit overlay after installing the new sensor hardware. The circuit overlay resolved the issue and...
Update 3: New temperature sensor was delivered and installed yesterday (Monday), but it didn’t resolve the issue. Local service is talking with Ford and working through a troubleshooting flowchart.
Ford has been in touch most days with updates.
Asked for a loaner today since it looks like...
I'm experiencing this as well. It's more than just too hot though. Sometimes it runs too cold. Basically it feels like it's all over the place compared to the "auto" settings I'm used to on other vehicles.
Update 2: Dropped the vehicle off for service on Friday morning. Haven't heard anything yet. Called this morning but was told to wait until Monday when the person in charge of my issue will be in.
They did confirm when I dropped it off that there was a problem. The ambient temp sensor was...
Hi there. Long-time Homekit/MyQ/CarPlay user here.
Just wanted to note that it IS possible to have the door automatically open/close, but you need some additional automation infrastructure to make it work. The reason Apple won’t automate the door opening and closing is safety/security. That’s a...
Just an update to note that the temperature sensor sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t at the moment. When it’s “working” the temp is off by quite a bit. Temp inside the cabin is also a little squirrelly.
The reviewer in that YouTube video goes into detail on that, but for me it’s been less than 20 seconds every time. I’ve only had it for a little over a day, so that’s only 4 or 5 startups. But it seems faster than what others have experienced with other adapters.
I bought the 2022 TNVTEC CarPlay Activator Dongle CarPlay adapter from Amazon, installed it yesterday and it's working great so far. Boots quickly. Very little lag.
Bought it based off this review:
