I don’t recall what video I found when I did it, I recall searching took a back back then.
It isn’t too bad, have done multiple times on my ‘22 and then my ‘25.
The thing is it is 3 different socket sizes.
- 2 bolts in the front, under the USB ports; these are fairly long
- 2 bolts on either...
I have taken mine out before, but I had taken out the center console to do it. There are 2 tabs to release tabs to get them out. Not sure you can get to them from the top.
All I can say is what I heard first hand. They were all cold starts, as they were sitting on the dealer’s lot as inventory to sell. We did each one all within a few minutes of each other, and were within a few spots of each other. They even still had my ‘22 there, and we started that as well...
My ‘22 had the full resonator. When I went to the dealer, asking about my ‘25 being louder, we went to the lot and started a ‘24 and a ‘25. The ‘24 had the ‘patch’ resonator. The ‘24 very close to the sound of my ‘22. The ‘25 was louder, like my ‘25.
Same for me.
Had dealer look into it. ‘24 sounded same as the ‘22. ‘25 Muffler is the same part number as “22. The going theory is a change in the CAT.
I thought these newer systems automatically picked up the new positions when you rotated your tires? So yeah, strange that the learn mode is for that, and not for new sensors.
That is strange. I was able to write to IPC, back in April, when I changed the seat belt message. Maybe try an older version of Forscan.
This is my post, from when I did it...
I have a BAK X4S that I moved from my ‘22 to my ‘25. This is what I ordered.

You can DM RealTruck on this forum, I’m sure they could help.
Thank you OP for posting this info. Great to see people, like you, doing these kind of things. I’m sure Ford can’t say these things, for various reasons, but I’m sure people with Hybrids greatly appreciate knowing Ford is still actively working it.
Glad you figured it out. You can wrap the wire around the other, then apply a little solder.
The trickier part will be wrapping the wires after. I like to use shrink wrap, but you won’t have a way to get it on; unless you unpin the truck’s wire from one of its connector pins, which I wouldn’t...
I don’t think using passenger vs driver would matter.
You should confirm the power you are tapping from is a constant 12v. I believe it is an incandescent bulb, so would think it would be constant 12v, it you never know.
I re-looked at the LED link you posted, it shows it has a fuse, did you...
Back when I got ‘22 I had come across this: https://frostfighter.com/clear-view-defrosters-about.htm?srsltid=AfmBOopE9ZrSJciMn7YuyKGnA8Rtl6hT4GHav-cTcCU6vqQspFQ3xxcM
At the time, it seemed like having the sliding window restricted the amount of grid line length. And trying to figure out how to...
