  10. Fitment issue BAK x4s tonneau cover?

I think there might be slight differences in fabrication from cover to cover which would explain the different fitment issues that have been discussed. 11. Fitment issue BAK x4s tonneau cover?

No, the side rails are installed as per the instructions so there’s no gap at the rear. The only difference with mine is how I dealt with the front seal.
  12. Fitment issue BAK x4s tonneau cover?

Yes, I have the factory SIBL. I did use the thinner tape despite the instructions due to a poor fit with the thick tape. I also used two short pieces of the thin tape at the front of the bulkhead just to cover the exposed paint on the ends for a neater look. I installed the rails per the...

  14. Fitment issue BAK x4s tonneau cover?

I installed mine with the thin rubber seal strip curved up against the rear window instead of down on the bulkhead. I did have to trim a small amount of the wide side strip to do this. I don’t have any leaks doing it this way and it looks like a neater installation to me.

You’ve convinced me to give it one more try! šŸ‘ If it works loose again, I’ll lick my $50 wound and walk away! šŸ˜‚
  16. Disappointed in tailgate assist.

The bottom plate that attaches to the side of the tailgate works loose after a few days on my truck, no matter how tightly I attach it. I am using Loctite, so the threads are not working loose. The problem seems to be the retaining nut turning/slipping within the slot from the jolt of closing...
