I’m just the opposite… my Subaru has a similar system (EyeSight) and it’s a great safety feature. I also can’t live without the keyless start after having that feature before…. not to mention the other goodies. For me, the Lariat Luxury package was a “must have”.

So far, the dealer documentation fee has a range of $0 to $999!

I’ve complained about the fee before and managed to get some extra off the selling price, but they will not change the documentation fee on the paperwork.

This is quite a wide range so far. I’m in a small market that doesn’t have multiple dealers to cross shop. It’s a a hour plus away from the large metro dealerships and I think my local dealer can get away with charging more because most people don’t want the hassle of shopping out of town to...

Could some of you guys furnish your dealer’s fixed “documentation fee”? These fixed fees seem to be going up with every car purchase I have made. They used to be around $399 - $499 in my area. My local Ford dealer is now at $799. What are you seeing at your local dealership?
