  1. Interactive fusebox / fuse diagram

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Norton did have a password detection virus.
  2. How to turn the rear camera on when the truck is in "Drive"?

I mean, I'd give it a try. Don't know how many people I'll be passing on the highway, but... Apropos of nothing, a picture.
  3. Squirrel saving nuts in my rear brakes!

I was wearing heavy gloves when I pulled him out, and I think he was already exhausted. He didn't struggle much as I backed him out of the coil, (he was holding on for dear life, though), and as soon as he was clear, bounded out of my hands, slowly down the street into a tree, and didn't move...
  4. Trading in XL Maverick with under 5k miles

Yep, still very much in business. This has made me think about getting a replacement seat in my '25 XLT. https://www.recaro-automotive.com/us/
  5. Squirrel saving nuts in my rear brakes!

I had a squirrel wrap himself around the front strut of my car after a neighborhood cat chased him around. I couldn’t extricate him at my house, so after driving to work and back to my parents house for tools, I managed to remove him by pulling him tail first out of the spring assembly.
  6. Hybrids are really hard on engines - you tube video

The logic in this video (which I saw when it was originally posted) is sound, but doesn't match up to observed reality. When I sent off oil samples from 2017 Prius, both when doing heavy in-town (achieving an 880-mile tank), and abusive cross-country towing with the engine being wound out for...
  7. Do you tow with your Maverick?

I bought my Maverick out of state, and flat-towed my Versa home about 1,100 miles. The Versa is about 1k lighter than the Maverick, and the steering was definitely trying to work against me. Not sway, in the normal sense, but delayed sway, as the toad caught up to the direction change...
  8. I added solar to my DIY hard walled pop-up camper, and will be doing much more soon!

Perhaps a boat tail on the back of the camper, like the ones sometimes seen on semis? That’s a lot of flat space on the back.
  9. Contemplating a front passenger seat delete

I remembered a vehicle I wanted to get shortly after I came of age: the short-lived Subaru Baja. Looking at some videos on YouTube, I discovered it had a pass through from the even shorter 41.5” bed into the rear seat area. It was too small for a standard sheet of ply or dry, but if Ford had...
  10. Contemplating a front passenger seat delete

The body is saying hard no to reclining the seat back these days, especially with that weird hump in the front of the seat, but at 5' 6", I don't have too much trouble with the back seat, being as close to flat as a seat could be made in this day and age.
  11. Contemplating a front passenger seat delete

I would LOVE to break into the 'shine running market, it's quite lucrative, even today.
  12. Contemplating a front passenger seat delete

Search results for "seat delete" are all talking about the rear seats, but I'm curious if anyone has deleted the FRONT passenger seat. Why? I run hotshot, and I want to keep the back seat for sleeping, but I need somewhere to keep my cooler. (Iceco JP50) Doesn't quite fit behind the seat...
  13. How difficult would it be to put a V8 into a Maverick

Scroll down this page to the V8 chart. It really is the magic number.
  14. How difficult would it be to put a V8 into a Maverick

Yes, but now I'd like you to imagine... 2 of them. At the same time.
  15. Lower cubby cover?

Unrelated to the topic, but what is the switch there? I have seen that several times in the last hour while searching, and my '25 XLT does not have it, it's blank between the USB and cigarette port.
  16. Next Gen Ford Infotainment Revealed: Ford Digital Experience

All I want for Christmas... Is a terminal in my dashboard. And wobbly windows.
  17. Next Gen Ford Infotainment Revealed: Ford Digital Experience

I have the most important question in this thread: Can I install Linux on it? 🤪
  18. Testing premium fuel in the hybrid

I read that to mean you'd like to know more about how premium fuel affects the combustion process, and/or how we measure it, hopefully I got that right. Octane relates to how resistant the fuel is to detonation, which is when the fuel ignites earlier than we want it to, such as early in the...
  19. Testing premium fuel in the hybrid

I did forget to mention I was already aware of the Atkinson cycle, however the question is still raised, at least in my mind: does the effective compression still benefit from a higher octane? I did search indeed, but with the Maverick having 2 powertrains, and the forum being what it is, I saw...
