3 week lag to diagnose is just insane. do you have any other Ford dealerships within range?
if so I'd call them, get a firm commitment, and have it towed there.
if not, I'd try to escalate at the dealership. if (and probably when) that fails, then I'd bitch at Ford corporate through the 800...
well, they would, but the issue would be when you're at/near 5y/60k you get 1 CSP replacement and if it is 'used' when instead it could've been factory powertrain, that would be pretty damn annoying.
hopefully this is worrying about nothing and instead of the CSP, any truck under factory...
almost 57k here and driven relatively hard at times.
I have a lifetime powertrain warranty through the dealership, if this becomes a recurring thing. I'm planning to drive my Maverick another 4 years at least, and maybe then give it to my college aged kid.
I've never seen anyone else report such an issue.
I'd start with a visual inspection under the hood first checking the battery terminals, then looking for anything chewed up by rodents, then check the engine air cleaner filter to ensure it isn't clogged. If that's all good, then I probably...
this is a weird/lucky coincidence as I've been noticing some vibration accelerating full throttle 55-70 mph, but it has been a little inconsistent, and I'm coming up on the 5yr/60k factory powertrain warranty.
the CSP solves my problem in that I no longer care as much when my Ford dealership...
somewhere here on MTC, someone had done a RTA of the stock system but I can't recall if only 22-24 base, or also B&O.
at any rate I'm pretty certain that the B&O 6x9 does not do jack sheet below 100hz, even though it's electronically crossed over at 35hz. I know this because 3 years ago I did...
This is particularly true if you upgrade the front door components before you add a real sub. You'll quickly find the doors play strongly to 60hz with the b&o amp, but there's no thump from the sub.
There's no benefit and only a drawback in keeping the factory sub when using a real sub. The spl produced by the underpowered 6x9 is mostly irrelevant, but if you did hear it, it would manifest as a midbass boom.
definitely aerodynamics.
he has no backup camera, no bed. I am mystified as to why is this a better solution than just sleeping in the back of any hybrid midsize suv, or obviously there are many compact trailers that offer better comfort and the truck is still a truck especially when not towing.
perhaps go back and read the context of the post that I was replying to 2+ years ago, to start.
secondly there are pros and cons to every solution. besides giving up passenger space, the main drawbacks of a huge inverter in the cabin are that you'd need a very heavy gauge cable to use all of it...
