correct. physically, the transmissions are the same. look on parts.ford.com at a Lobo vin vs a regular ecoboost awd vin and you'll get the same transmission assembly.
it's just software.
JB4 and panda power module / racechip work as designed on any year of Maverick.
they connect to sensors directly and connect to the ECU through the OBD2 diagnostic port.
is it as good as a reflash tune when these devices instead intercept and modify these sensors? that can be debated, but my...
apologies for not reviewing the whole thread, but I read your latest update and that sounds pretty good.
is there a passive high pass on the front components? when you turned off the crossover on the key 200.4 surely you aren't sending 20-60hz to the front doors now? I'm still using the factory...
I've put about 30k on a set now and they have been great in all conditions. much better on the highway and mildly (but not aggressively) sporty driving on dry roads. very good in snow and mixed ice, but that performance is surely going to fade as the miles go on and the tread gets shallow.
if...
do you have a written estimate from the first shop? if they only said those things to you in person or on the phone, then you're probably at a dead end other than review bombing them.
this is a possibility as well - I see the thinking, that if Toyota doesn't get new buyers and instead all those people excited about the Taco hybrid just trade down to a Rav4camino, then Toyota cuts their profit per truck significantly.
but that's kind of silly to think that a Rav4-based truck...
“It’s a really intriguing segment for us, but the whole segment right now is 160,000 to 170,000." He added that consumers and dealers should "be patient. When the market’s right, we may have something."
Tacoma set a new annual record last year with 274,638 units. granted, the profit per truck...
That's a reasonable approach as long as your taste doesn't end up with a massive amount of tone controls. Use 'em in moderation!
I completely forgot about this tread since there were no replies for several years, but I distinctly remember creating it because people were suggesting to crank the...
yes, I understood that and I would not do it under the puny rdu. yes, I know that some vehicles this is normal or perhaps even mentioned in the service manual.
there likely is a front crossmember that could be used, but my truck is lowered and there's no way a jack is going under there without...
I understand 40 series tires but I do not understand a very short tire unless you're slamming the truck on coilovers or airbags. at stock ride height, even on a lobo, a 235/40-19 is going to be a huge mistake.
255/50-19 and 265/45-19 would be much better choices, assuming they fit. at discount...
respectfully, the only reason to do that is appearance and while a shorter tire does lower the vehicle, it's going to create a lot of wheel arch gap which will look ridiculous.
also, everyone can do whatever they like with their maverick, but if you like driving in a spirited fashion maybe...
you don't need a replacement amp, especially not a 175 dollar puzu or similar.
I still use the b&o amp and I can hit 108db on a calibrated mic, perfectly clear, at volume 30 playing a variety of music. the b&o amp can play the front speakers fine, but the factory sub is a joke, and the rear...
you definitely should have pulled the 6x9 and used that space, but otherwise, job well done. (y)
I have the stock B&O amp with Focal components, a kicker 500.1 amp and an Alpine R2 8" dual 2 ohm sub. It's plenty for me. I will replace the B&O amp when it fails but until then it's never been...
