  1. SYNC 5.0 & software updates for new 2025 XL

The Ford website would not ask for your social security number! You either have a typo in the URL or your PC is hacked!
  2. Spark Plug change w/ cylinder boroscope photos (2022 Ecoboost @ 53k miles)

All looks as expected, but I would have used the boroscope to get a better view of the cylinder walls.
  3. Stranded 2025 hybrid AWD XLT! Shifted into Park, error messages, can't do *ANYTHING*

If that was my truck, I'd disconnect the 12v battery, wait a couple minutes for things to discharge, then reconnect the battery. All new cars are technology which happens to be in a vehicle.
  4. Top Tier+ Gasoline

I used to work on Porsches in the 80's when CIS injection was common. We'd pull injectors at first hint of a lean miss, put them on a simple pressure pump and run techron through them until they sprayed with full atomization with no streams of liquid. We tried almost every product on the...
  5. radio volume default settings

I think the default is retain last level and you have to change it to set a hard coded level which it seems has been set on your truck.
  6. Gator soft trifold vibration

If you think 75 is thumpy, wait until you hit 117 when it turns into a wing for added downforce!
  7. Puddle Lights

Before you venture too far, are you aware that you have to run wiring from the fuse panel to the door as there's no existing puddle light or other power circuit in the door that can be used?
  8. Must have a rare ecoboost truck

    What about this is rare?
  9. % Ford Pass App doesn’t work

Most likely it's the truck having weak cell data service. If it was the app this forum would be full of complaints.
  10. XLT or Lariat for smoother ride

I have a 25 XLT with the 225/55-19 tires the same Goodyears as the Lariat. I was concerned about ride quality as my wife has an Escape which has the same size tires and has always ridden a little harsh. Happy to report that the Maverick rides very nicely compared compared to the Escape. I...
  11. Ford Pass App - Service Engine Soon

Scanners are typically attached for diagnostic purposes, readings taken and then removed. I don't think anyone's concerned about the onboard modem possibly being disrupted for the couple of minutes that it's being scanned in their driveway or at a shop or dealership.
  12. Ford Pass App - Service Engine Soon

A scanner doesn’t interfere with anything, it simply reads the stored codes the same as a dealership scanning the car. It tracks way more than a check engine light.
  13. Prevent exterior lights when door opened?

Forscan has various dark lighting modes you can enable that I believe will solve this for you.
  14. Ford Pass App - Service Engine Soon

I'd scan it with Forscan if you have it. If you don't have Forscan, or any other scanner capabilities, you might want to investigate getting one.
  15. Driver's Side Window Control

Check for TSBs on your VIN. There's known issues with window switches.
  16. Trailering 1,000 miles advice needed.

I passed high school physics. I'm just saying that if I had a 10,000+ pound tow capacity full frame vehicle with larger brakes, more torque, a much stronger transmission, beefier rear end, wider stance and higher load capacity tires, I'd gladly take the gas mileage hit vs driving my current...
  17. Trailering 1,000 miles advice needed.

I didn't say it wouldn't tow, but I'd be pulling anything with an F150 if it was sitting next to my maverick. The towing part isn't the concern, however towing while performing an emergency maneuver is THE concern! A quick turn to avoid an object on the road, stopping or accelerating as...
  18. 2025 dashboard disassembly

You might want to check the cabin air filter & housing for any remnants.
  19. Starting the audio system upgrade in my 2024 Maverick

Are you still using the stock dash tweeters or are you only having tweeters down on the door where they are blocked by legs?
  20. Automatic High Beam not switching on

The light knob has to be in automatic headlight mode and you have to cycle through the high beam stalk positions until the A lights up. You have to be driving faster than something like 20 mph and the camera can't see oncoming lights or bright reflections.
