I need to get into the knee space under the steering wheel to install a brake relay for my flat tow setup. Does anyone have directions to remove that panel? It would make it a whole lot easier to get to the brake light switch wire that is way high up under the dash.
Thanks
@BDennis,
I wasn't able to find a ready made solution to attaching the cable so I made this out of 2 Strongtite A21Z reinforcing angles found at Home depot. I cut the one end and drilled both to make the right size holes and riveted them together. I also painted it black. I'll attach it to the...
In August I purchased the NSA tow bar setup with a Roadmaster base plate for flat towing behind my motorhome. I've been putting off installation because I knew it would take me, an amateur, lots of time to do it. So this weekend I tackled installing the Roadmaster base plate. I used the...
My XLT Lux 360's window sticker didn't list any of those things you state as missing, but they were in the vehicle when I received it. Under optional equipment other, the window sticker said Lux package: 6 d-link bed connectors, 8-way power driver seat, SIBL
Mike,
Were you able to get a picture of the cable where it attaches to the brake inside the cab? I see the grommet/hole in the firewall, but it is off to the side a bit, not directly behind the brake pedal. I'll be doing the install and want to make sure I understand fully how to connect the...
4. Is there a way to easily remove the cover and leave the rails in place?
I know how to roll it up and secure it up near the window, but I don't see a way to actually remove that roll. It appears to be sewn to a thick piece of plastic which is in turn glued to the header rail. I thought...
Mike,
I plan on using that same setup. Can you post a picture of where the brake cables go through the firewall and how they're connected to the brake pedal? Also, can you describe or show pictures of their routing through the engine bay?
TIA, Linda
Two days ago I took delivery of my first ever truck. Somehow I made it into retirement without ever owning one. I've owned sedans, both two door and four door, SUV's, a mini-van, and a motorhome, but no pick-em-up truck until now. 🤠
Yesterday I installed the Ford/TruXedo soft roll-up cover...
There is one temp on the screen on my XLT (not Sync 3). I think it's the outside temp. When I turn the temp control knob it shows a large temperature number and a graphic to show me turning it up or down.
