  1. Need new CV Axle on 2023 hybrid with 33k miles

rockauto doesn't have it as far as I can find. Lakeland Ford parts has it with matching part number even. 107 there, can a dealership order parts from another dealership for warranty?
  2. Need new CV Axle on 2023 hybrid with 33k miles

A dealership wouldn't but I could go to most mechanic shops and ask them to do it. I would be paying out of pocket but at least I wouldn't be waiting almost two months. Pros and cons man
  3. Need new CV Axle on 2023 hybrid with 33k miles

Hello everyone, I just got back from a dealership to get my truck inspected for a vibration while accelerating to highways speeds. I already assumed cv axle before I took it in because it only vibrated while accelerating. The problem comes from them saying its back ordered and can't get one...
  4. In grille light bar install

I love the fit of that light bar in there. Do you by chance know the size of it or the model number and where you got it? I need something like that on mine
  5. DIY Custom Bed Rack

That is awesome to hear, glad I helped to inspire you! I am actually just finishing up a cross country trip of about 7k miles through interstates, back roads and secondary unpaved and heavily rutted roads. I can say without a doubt that the rack is absolutely amazing. Never once loosened or gave...
  6. Maverick Hybrid Lariat ready for cross country trip (FL to PNW)

I planned for cold. I have a comfort rated 20 degree sleeping bag, a wool blanket, a 3.5 season tent and if all that fails, I’ll pick up a 13v heated blanket to keep in my sleeping bag with me or I can squeeze into the back sleep with the truck running. I’m going the southern route because the...
  7. Maverick Hybrid Lariat ready for cross country trip (FL to PNW)

I’ve never seen either. Plan on getting the glasses for safety sake. Also looking to be in the middle of it in NM. Was just looking at campgrounds north of Albuquerque and that should be almost dead center. If I get an opportunity to see a full eclipse, I will definitely take that as well. This...
  8. Maverick Hybrid Lariat ready for cross country trip (FL to PNW)

I am doing a little more than just driving across the country. I’m also taking a lot of secondary and poorly maintained roads to get to dispersed camping sites while it is fully loaded within 100 lbs of gvwr and living out of it. I have also done some off-roading and have been mildly surprised...
  9. Maverick Hybrid Lariat ready for cross country trip (FL to PNW)

I think my current plan is go from Angelina N.F. Where I am now to Austin, find a place to camp just outside of there, then head north and camp outside of DFW. Then go to Lawton OK to visit a cousin, then head for Albuquerque NM with a stop or two to make it to the eclipse on time. I need to...
  10. Maverick Hybrid Lariat ready for cross country trip (FL to PNW)

I appreciate the advice. Part of this trip is seeing new things, and I haven’t been through Austin or DFW before and have been told they are pretty cool to see. I don’t really see new things if I am chugging down miles of empty highway just to because I want to avoid traffic. I’m in no rush. I...
  11. Maverick Hybrid Lariat ready for cross country trip (FL to PNW)

I had it weighed and am at 5100 lbs. I don't think mavericks are allowed to be over 5200. I would use caution against that especially if you aren't doing things to move the weight towards the front axle. I hit the limit for the back axle before I hit GVWR
  12. Maverick Hybrid Lariat ready for cross country trip (FL to PNW)

With words like that, can you be my dad too?
  13. Maverick Hybrid Lariat ready for cross country trip (FL to PNW)

I am open to reroutes and exploring new places. So even if something is covered up, I can go around or wait it out a few days till it clears up. But that is also November which is much snowier than October
  14. Maverick Hybrid Lariat ready for cross country trip (FL to PNW)

I think this is probably the best time, not deathly hot in the south and not feet of snow in the north. Hit a low of 62 last night
  15. Maverick Hybrid Lariat ready for cross country trip (FL to PNW)

That’s almost convoy territory. Get a third and we can make it happen. Gotta get CB radios wired up. That’s a project I might do while on the road
  16. Maverick Hybrid Lariat ready for cross country trip (FL to PNW)

Short term for a few days shouldn't be a huge issue to the finish. Also if I cared about the resale value of this truck, I wouldn't be doing half the things I am doing to it. Honestly everywhere has rich history, just a matter of going to find it. So, I am sure I will find plenty of cool things...
  17. Maverick Hybrid Lariat ready for cross country trip (FL to PNW)

Unfortunately I wouldn't have been able to go two months ago. Most people seem worried about the snow. Personally, I was/am concerned about the heat. My companion is my almost 7 year old husky. She can't do the heat like that. Fall works best, I might get a little snow, but at least we can sleep...
  18. Maverick Hybrid Lariat ready for cross country trip (FL to PNW)

The mounts are just L brackets bought with the extruded aluminum rack with bolts and nuts. I drilled two holes through the sides of the solar to feed the bolts to.
  19. Maverick Hybrid Lariat ready for cross country trip (FL to PNW)

I wont forget, I was thinking Albuquerque NM for the eclipse. Seems to be right along the way. 4 Points is already a tourist spot and will probably be packed to the brim with people.
