What i was specifically curious about, is the GFB brand, and not the Steeda, comes with that little piece, that i assume, goes up inside the factory Valve itself. I was wondering if its to "block off the internal hole back to the discharge that goes to the intake. I'm really curious if im on the...
So was there any mods that had to be done? Or was it literally, unbolt the 3 bolts, lift up the stock valve, sandwich this "spacer" between the stock valve and the tube housing with the longer bolts provided?
Or could run a AirLift help air bag that goes inside the spring. I did this on my Brother in laws Scion XB, that he used to use to deliver mail on his mail route. His route grew in size after like 6 mons, so he "upgraded" to a van.
Im about to just pull the trigger on the Bronco sport springs...
There are ways around the check engine lights with out tuning, done it to about 10-15 cars with out issues, but it is what some people would refer to as "jerry rigged". I dont think so, but to some it might be.
No where near as uncommon as you think, but yes, defiantly more expensive, complicated and heavy! Almost every single newer super charged vehicle uses then. Heck I even worked on a co workers 2016 (i think) Ford Fusion, with the 1.5L Ecoboost, the other day, and to my surprise it has a water to...
I talked to one of the tech guys at RC for like 45 mins the other day (im kind of a suspension nerd), about the kit they have currently. He said they specifically designed the kit they have now the way they did, with the "preload" spacer and the strut top spacer. (see the other posts in this...
Honestly man, i am thinking of trying it. I still want to research the curb weight of the Bronco sport vs the maverick. But my thought on it is this.... The bronco has the fully enclose rear section (duh SUV), therefor i imagine the weight on the rear tires would be more then that of the...
I actually agree with this. Or a new replacement strut, kind of like the Bilstein 5150, with the adjustable spring perch locations that change the preload on the spring. But as i stated before, the RC kit comes with a spacer that "preloads" the spring, therefor lifting the truck. Not sure how...
Being completely honest with you, i may have misunderstood you, but i did actually think you were bashing RC. If you were not, i was wrong, and i take full responsibility in the mis-understanding, and for that i sincerely apologize.
technically a 1950-1953 Willys M38 Tub (Korean war) . But the frame is 100% made using 2"x4".120 wall mild steel tubing. Front suspension is from a 06 crown Victoria, rear suspension, is a S197 "style" 3 link, but with a Watts Link Track locator. Its a Twin 66mm turboed 5.3L LM7 Chevy "LS"...
ROFL. No not at all. Just very passionate in helping people truly understand things that i know a bit about. An old timer once told me, "what's the point of having all this knowledge, if you don't share it, you just die with it."
It is a breath of fresh air to find someone else that understand how suspension really works. I was thinking i was the only one on here, until i found this thread.
This is NOT completely true. It all depends on the road. Most, NOT ALL, cars are actually designed with the alignment set neutral, so that the car, on a flat road, will go straight when you take your hands off the steering wheel. But on a road, say here in Arizona, that has a road crown in the...
Wait, so you know more then the engineer that designed and engineered the tire?
Now im not at all saying, that what is on the door is wrong, so long as its the factory installed and engineered tires, but you do know that tire build up more heat quicker when they are underinflated, as opposed to...
