I've seen only one, at the dealership, and it too sold in 24 hours. I find it amusing, and rather strange, that the better part of over 30,000 people are ordering a vehicle that they have never seen w version of in person. Not throwing shade, since I too am among that group. And even stranger to...
One of my customers had wanted to see my truck before ordering his, but he wants a hybrid. Since order cutoff for hybrids is imminent, I called and told him he either needs to order, or resign himself to wait untii next fall or winter.
Lack of knowledge about processes in this journey is definitely causing lots of anxiety on our end. I tried to address some issues with my salesman, and he barely paid lip service to my questions. NOT gonna go back to him, for sure. This is the 3rd vehicle from the 2nd dealership I will have...
Yeah, some dealer salesman told my boss 8 weeks on an EB. Despite the fact one of his own employees has contradictory evidence, he believes him. That's okay. Let him order some for our fleet. When it's 4 months, I'm just gonna pull out a calendar and look at it, then him, and smile.
Okay, i get your point about "some lady" BUT what I hate worse than that, being a woman, is to get a BOY on the phone of a technical hot line or support center, and he is barely off training wheels AND he has less technical savvy or knowledge than me.
I agree about clarifying processes, for sure. I asked my dealer salesman about the ROVP, and he didn't know what I was referring to, which of course concerned me greatly. I emailed him the link to the post you referred to, and while he didn't know it under that name, he told me that was why...
I read somewhere (not a very scientific statistic, i know) that there were somewhere slightly above 30,000 actual orders. I think that's pretty significant for what it is, but maybe I have a skewed idea of significant. I do know that when I started talking about mine at work, among mechanics and...
"...My plan is to play stupid though, you never get anywhere by showing what a smart cookie you are, it is better to just be one and let everyone think you don't know what you're talking about.."
Sage advise, sir, but I am notoriously reknown for poor life choices, and one of the choices I...
..... 2 dealerships I spoke with seemed to know very little if anything about it and wanted to sell me a gas model instead since those were actually coming in. But I can't really complain too much, if I'm an old school sales guy it is hard to get excited about a car I can't interact with often...
That would be nice. I know that's not the case with mine yet (just went into production), but maybe if I repeat that to myself as a mantra in a few days, it'll calm me down.
Welcome to the waiting pool! I don't have any pro tips except if you are an anxious person, hang on for the ride. :ROFLMAO:
I'm an older buyer who doesn't "need" a truck, either, but wants a bed for the same reason. I got an EB because AWD. I was stuck in my yard this past year during...
