I don’t think this would be accurate since there is only one plant making these in Mexico and the overwhelming number of orders are being delivered to North America. Additionally, many of these products are produced in the US or China.

Totally different business model. Car dealerships are retail establishments. Do you make an appointment to go to Walmart? Yes, it should be entirely normal and not disruptive to walk into a retail dealership and inquire about an order.
