Okay, I've done all of these except for the ones that start with 7D0- and the signs are still round. Where do I find the modules that start with 7D0? I went through each category but never found them.
EDIT - I found that 7D0 are contained in the APIM module, but my scan tool isn't reading that.
Hear me out; my intention is not to be negative, however, when priced out, this comes to almost $10,000 when you include some important accessories and, for me, a $1,000 delivery fee.
$7,700 - Base camper
$1,000 - Deliver fee
$400 - Top-side cross bars ($200 each)
$300 - Ladder
$150 - Hardware...
I don't anticipate draining the battery to the point it wouldn't start the vehicle, but I imagine if I did, it would need to be jump-started. My Maverick is not the hybrid.
I needed to have my interior 12v outlets remain powered for some low-draw LED emergency lights that I sometimes use when my vehicle is not running. I tried finding a hardware solution via jumping wires in the fuse panel but instead found a Forscan solution. Initially, I was going to disable the...
I'm going to suggest something that might seem offensive, but it's a really easy thing to miss and being insulting is not my intent. If you're new to Forscan, make sure after you change a variable that you also hit the "write" button. I only know this because it's the error I made myself.
Just for anyone that finds this same question in the future...
The engine compartment fuse box houses the 12v socket fuses. It is much too compact to place jumper wires between fuses. I did however find that I could use Forscan to set my sockets to either stay hot all the time or change the...
Bob, getting a Forscan license and OBDII adapter is about $70. Once you open the Forscan program and plug in the cable all you really have to do is click a button to enable each of these modes. The original steps needed with changing registry values that you can find on these forums has now been...
This is my first vehicle that doesn't have an always on 12v plug. I've read on the F150 forums that you can put a jumper between two fuses to make the outlet always hot. Anyone know which fuses to do the same in our Mavericks?
Thank you.
Being a unibody vehicle, there are many hoses and cabling that are ran underneath the body. These felt pads protect those while also providing some minor aerodynamic advantages. When I rust proofed my vehicle I thought about leaving these off, but there were a whole lot of exposed dangling bits.
Why would they? The warranty laws are very clear that unless what you’ve done to your vehicle directly affects the part in question, the warranty is still intact. A minor software setting change has zero bearing on an extremely small air leak in the seal of a small part in the emission system...
I agree. I'm not up in arms mad about it, just posting the issue here so others are aware. It's just annoying having a check engine light on a brand new vehicle when I've never seen one come on with the last six cars I've owned (Hondas). Additionally, with the light lit, it could cover up when a...
Highly unlikely. After the second event, the truck was restored to factory settings, and it still occurred. From the research I've done, these errors are normally the fault of a physical sensor or part.
Typically emission problems are caused by air getting into the system, which causes the...
So I’ve had this warning occur three times now. The first time was following filling the gas tank. I assumed the fuel flapper valve didn’t close fully so I cleared the warning using Forscan. Second time it happened when I was in Sport mode, which my model shouldn’t have (4K FX4). Cleared the...
I've been researching an answer to this question for a while by reading past threads from other Ford forums; they were even bigger train wrecks. I was hoping we would have a more level-headed bunch here, but sadly I was wrong.
^THIS!
Again, for most manufacturers this is how cruise control works. For more than 25 years I was a safety engineer; this is not an unsafe feature in any way shape or form.
And I would remind folks, my request was how to program MY Maverick to behave in this way, not YOURS. My decision does...
All of these reasons. Additionally, if you look under your truck you'll find that just behind the rear fender wells there are cavernous spaces where mud, water, gunk, salt, etc. will collect and eventually rust out the sheet metal of the bed and side panels. Mudflaps will (hopefully) prevent...
