Visited 1 dealer and called 4 others, first dealer I've dealt with 4 dealers so far, first one I had to go on the ford.ca website and show him the maverick, the other 3 never called back when I asked for an appointment, So I'm supposed to give up all my bargaining power by walking in 4 months...

I really like the black rims form the FX4 package, but it's not offered on the XL, could I technically order those through the dealer as accessories and have them installed at delivery? Would also help since I won't need to buy rims for the winters

How would you compare it to the i3 turbo? Driving that one in a rental and I'm happy with it, but fear the hybrid will be even slower....the XLT 2.0 inches it's way out of my budget as soon as I add spray in bed, cover and copilot (just for the Blindspot)

I spoke with my dealer (in Canada) and he gave me a FAQ document that I'll post later but shows no deposit needed at order request time, I already had another dealer try and squeeze a deposit out of me, but later 'oh we'll check if it's a requirement" Ask for proof

Thank you for the detailed answer! The gas engine sounds very unstressed, which should be good for reliability, but I do wonder if a tune plus all that low end torque could bump up those figures??...maybe I'll just go test drive an escape Hybrid to get a feel 😁

I'm still a bit confused on what kind of performance we can expect, some places i read slow acceleration, some places I read peppy acceleration, most sources say 8.9 seconds 0-60, does the electric motor provide any instant torque? or are we actually driving with >162hp at all times?

I keep going back and forth between XL and XLT, I can't find the 3k (cad) jump being worth it just for nicer seats and wheel design
