I've been driving a rental escape for the last few months which has been an amazing experience except for a loud 'clunk' from the rear differential when moving from a stop with the steering wheel turned.
This makes me question Ford's reliability, and a quick search through the internet shows it...

Hi everyone,
I have an Xplan code to use on the Maverick, but does forcing the dealer to the lower price take away my bargaining power for trade-in value? Could these transactions be done separately?
I'm also curious if the bar can be separated from the grill itself, like if I could get the lariat trim Mesh, and keep the XL black bar, or if everything comes molded and glued as one? @kingranchero any ideas?
I'm driving around in a rented escape and all I can think of is why didn't they combine the i3 with the hybrid, since it's smaller and more powerful than the 2.5...
I'm also a bit worried about how future proof the 2.5 is, it still seems like too big of an engine for the power it provides and...
Would love to get an XLT cactus gray with the black roof... hopefully they can do two tone roof as an option for all cars in 2022?
Why go through all the assembly line set up trouble of two tone if just for a few units?
I don't mind a bit slower acceleration as long as it feels torquey, I test drove the escape hybrid and the 2.5 was just wailing at high revs and was really loud, even the escape 1.5 3 cyl feels torquier and faster even though they have similar 0-60 times
