  1. Bushwacker Fender Flare Info Pics?

My Baby Truck is dirty but I like the look of the bushwackers with the 2" lift and Toyo Open Country AT III's.
  2. DIY - Bed Cover/Tent

Thanks for the suggestions!! I have some leftover pond liner material and Im thinking of attaching it permanently to one side of the hinge but using a solid strip of velcro on the other side. I want to be able to remove it in two separate pieces.
  3. DIY - Bed Cover/Tent

Yeah that's a little much for me. I am going for the same idea as the roof top tents that are hinged. We have it high enough at one end that we can sit up anf play cards. 😂👍
  4. DIY - Bed Cover/Tent

Two points Im still dealing with are leak points at the hinges and at the cab. Being unibody, there's no gap to let the water drain between the cab and bed. For that, my first design has my fly starting in middle of the cab. I picked up two hella madnets in Amazon and plan to use those to...
  5. DIY - Bed Cover/Tent

Thank you. I'm in the design phase of all that right now! I plan on using a large tarp to make my plans up with and then work with real tent fly material once I have it like I want.
  6. DIY - Bed Cover/Tent

Thanks! On the maiden voyage, it was a little thrown together. Literally just threw the mosquito netting over the entire bed and used a tent fly over that for rain. We used our regular tent double mattress. We leave the tailgate down and there's plenty of room. I'm working on making the...
  7. Anyone tapped factory bed light to power aftermarket under-rail LEDs?

Thanks to everyone that contributed to this thread! I disconnected the original light and added the bed lights to the existing switch using the supplied connector. I still need to trim and affix. I ran out of daylight.
  8. Post a pic of your pooch/pet in your Maverick🐶🐱

My Dobies are totally happy back tnere. I toted my sister's 103# GSD to the vet on Friday. He loved it. In our 4Runner I strap a piece of plywood to fill the space between the seat (folded down) and the front seat upright. Cover it with a HF moving blanket. The The big boys shoulders reach...
  9. Question: Bed Wire Grommet

I b We've got camping friends that love their rooftop tents and for short term/overlanding, I think it has merit over our boondocking popup. I've contemplated one for our 4Runner - back and forth but the cons for me are gas mileage/drag, price of infrastructure to mount and price of it all...
  10. DIY - Bed Cover/Tent

I've finally gotten time to make some improvements to the build. (I'm not sure what to call it - bed tent... no. Roof top tent... no. Any suggestions are welcome!) I moved the supports around to allow for more head room/less bumping. Added a shelf for glasses , flashlights, phones, etc...
  11. Question: Bed Wire Grommet

I answered my own question. I pulled off the tail light and I was surprised at how open the sides of the bed are! Since I was solo today, I pulled out the front grommet and put a flashlight on it. Then I used a piece of trim I had in the shop with a piece of string tied to it. I positioned it...
  12. Question: Bed Wire Grommet

Thank you for your response and I was afraid that might be the case. Unfortunately, I have fender flares installed and this won't be easy... I think I'm referring to a different grommet than you but I think it's the same answer. 🫤
  13. Question: Bed Wire Grommet

I searched the forum and waded through many, many posts for an answer. If I missed something, please feel free to add a link to it! How do I (easiest way) fish wire from the rear bed cubby to the grommet in the bed closest to the cab? Thanks in advance?
  14. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

Drove my 6' tall brother in law home from Triple Bypass surgery. I don't think he was convinced but he knew he couldn't get in his F150 and he couldn't get out of my sister's Lexus. Goldilocks found the Mighty Mav (w 2" lift) juuust right. 😁
  15. My one year and 21k miles later review

Yep, if you live in Texas 20k is not unusual. For 4-5 years, I commuted 200 mi/day. #truestory
  16. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

Yes, it is. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/diy-bed-cover-tent.35001/ I'm a pro at researching in forums but not so much with posting. I built it to also serve as a bed tent. It works great! I literally built it in one day but it had been rolling around in my head a while. I...
  17. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

Not today..... but added red decals that really make it stand out. They've been on for 3-4 months now and still look good. Got them off Amazon and then cut them to the size I liked that fit that location.
  18. Camper build ideas for a Maverick with a top

I built a 2x4 frame at the hinges and used L brackets and unistrut spring bolts to bolt it down. I used the same bolts to secure the 2x2s in place that prop the top open. It makes it easy to remove it as well. I plan on using rubber material under the hinges to waterproof that gap. Im...
  19. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

Last minute, one day build, of my idea for a hard bed cover/in bed tent (roof top tent inspired). Threw in our double blow up sleeping pad. Threw over a mosquito net plus a tent fly 'just in case'. It actually worked out great!! We decided on a last minute road trip and didn't want to lug the...
