I'm sorry but I have no idea. I just searched Maverick on youtube and that video had just been posted a couple of hours before. So I searched here and saw that no one had posted it and thought id share.
I love it and now that I've seen both covers on the truck I like the look of the Sentry CT way more than the X4s. The Sentry CT just looks cleaner its way closer to flush than I thought it would be plus its just one solid piece of material as where the X4s had the rubber seal, plastic end caps...
I don't have a bed extender but I've read on other posts here that it will. There is nothing sticking into the bed other than the side rails. I can tell you for sure the Xs4 wont work with one because it has brackets for the locks that go into the bed probably 3 inches past the rails.
I had the Xs4 and had this very issue and you are correct it is a design flaw. I called Bak about it several times and sent pictures and they told me it is desiged that way on purpose to not damage the tailgate. Luckily I got mine from Realtruck and was able to exchange it for the Sentry CT...
I just got some 2 inch painters tape and about 12 inches of aluminum foil folded it in half and taped it to the inside of the lower bumper trim right under the filter.
I was thinking it has to be for noise no way that thing makes enough heat to effect that steel plate. I wonder if the FX4 skid plate has the same padding on it.
Did my 1st oil change on the Tremor today. Had 2655mi on it the oil looked perfectly normal draining out no alien blood here like some others have reported. The skid plate is heavy probably between 30 and 40 pounds. I dodged a bullet with the filter I don't know if someone dropped it in the...
I've called them and told them the rails are to short and they basically told me to fuck off. They said I should return it and get something that fits my needs better. The reason they said the rails are so short is so they don't gouge the tailgate.
