That is the same thing I would do too. I use synthetic oil as well and do oil and filter every 5 thousand. I live in the country and do mostly road miles. No problem at 30,000. Runs like a scalded dog. Love the 2.0 ecoboost.

I have both on my 23 and the only advise I could give you is get a can that has a larger volume for the dirty side. The dirty side can catches much more oily gas.

I have two on my truck. One on the dirty side and one for the clean side. They work well to remove oil from the intake air on a turbo direct injection 4 cylinder. It is to help prevent deposits on the intake valves. Hope that helps you understand the purpose.

I love the cactus gray color and the way light changes the effect on it. Goes from gray to green depending on the light. Good choice, very nice.
