I can slightly feel "something" on the top/back of my steering wheel. Its annoying but not so much that I've bothered to investigate or do anything about it.
Do all Mavericks have this at the top of the driver's windshield? Or do I just have a dealer trying to be sneaky/manipulative. I ignored it of course and do my own maintenance.
I've been using the Hybrid Solutions Ceramic. I've been quite happy with it. Also, I noticed my local WalMart has it in their clearance aisle for $5. Maybe yours does too.
I bought a set of XL steelies from a member here. None were listed locally so I just posted a WTB. A member nearby messaged me and we made a deal. Quick, easy, cheap.
It looks like they just used screws through the plastic? I certainly could see these being useful for mounting a bad-guy removal device. There's gotta be some form of velcro/tape to secure these instead of screws.
This is the most important time. You have to start stalking your Mav/dealer. Don't just sit back and wait for the dealer to contact you. You don't want to be writing one of the "dealer sold my Maverick" posts.
My tailgate was frozen today. At least I hope its frozen. I was parked outside in a snowstorm for 7 hours and went to get in the bed to get the snow brush. Tailgate won't move at all. Key won't go more than 3/4" into the hole. I decided not to force anything and will check on it in the morning.
My X-Ice tires saved me from deer in a snowstorm an hour ago as well. Near white-out conditions on the hwy and 2 deer are standing still blocking my lanes.
Is there an upcharge listed on your window sticker for HPR? I ordered my '23 Cyber Orange Sept '22. At the time, there wasn't a listed upcharge for Cyber Orange. The very next day the upcharge appeared on Ford's configurator and ordering system. My window sticker indicates the $495 for Cyber...
I don't think Ford would've spent money on the bracket if they didn't think it was needed. But, I'm not against someone choosing one safety item(proper spare) over another(puncture bracket). If I put a full spare down there, I'd modify the bracket. Otherwise, I suspect there's a reasonable...
Its my understanding that the piercer in pic 2 is designed to pierce the tire in the event of a collision for safety reasons. I think that's why even the "full-size" spare Ford offers isn't full size. It looks like it fits, but I'd be concerned a decent jolt will lead to a pierced tire.
If you don't need a hard-cover, the Truxedo Pro X15 is great. It sits very low and rolls up easily. It only takes up a couple of inches when rolled and can be removed in about 5 seconds by pulling a single latch. The downside, other than it being a soft cover, is that you need to unlatch the...
