I found a picture of the back of the tail light, I'm pretty sure it's the red wires that power the brake/signal but it was a year ago, I would verify for yourself. I peeled back the tape a bit and tapped into the wire before it goes into the bulb holder (area circled in red).
Yes, I wired it just like the diagram. I don't recall for sure the color of the wires in the tail lights, I think it was red. I just used a voltmeter to determine which wire had voltage when the turn signal was flashing.
Does your light bar stay off when just the turn signal is flashing (no...
Are you using LED bulbs in your tail lights? I don't think the Pacer module will work with LED bulbs, since it relies on a ground path through the bulbs which LEDs don't provide.
That's the pedestrian warning noise, if you watch the beginning of the video, before he disables the speaker, you'll hear it as soon as he puts it in drive.
I notice the faint siren sound as well when I don't have the radio on. My sister has a new Toyota RAV4 hybrid that makes the exact same sound, I commented when riding with her "There's the hybrid siren".
You can hear it in this video posted earlier in the thread when he has the pedestrian...

Depending how smashed the FOB is, it may still be readable when placed in the indention in the bottom of the center console. If so, you can buy a replacement FOB for around $30 and use your broken FOB and spare FOB to program the new one, assuming you have a second good FOB. If you buy an...
There is a pin at the top of the light fixture that goes into a slotted hole in a flimsy tab on the fender. If it's missing the hole and pushing against the tab it will try to spring the front edge of the light out.
You can check this pin/tab/hole alignment by looking into the small gap between...
These are the steps I used to add my keys, '23 Lariat without remote start, but should be the same steps on all Lariats.
- Open center console and remove felt bottom
- Place first existing fob in depression
- Push start button (without foot on brake )
- Count to 3, Remove fob, Push ignition off...
You will get a message on the screen saying the maximum number of keys has been reached when you try to add a fifth key. If you're not getting that message then there's likely a different issue preventing the key from being added.
