  1. Have you received the free FITS accessory package?

Got mine at delivery. It was sitting in the salesperson’s office. He thought I ordered it… he wasn’t aware of the free offer.
  2. What Would You Do?

Ordered my hybrid on June 21, 2021 it arrived April 13, 2022… 9 months wait… BUT production didn’t start until late October… so actually 6 months. If you order immediately in early August you might have your Maverick in January. We all know how fast the holidays go… you’ll have your truck before...
  3. Drain holes in DIBL?

Drilling holes will allow moisture between the liner and the bed, which promotes mold and rust.
  4. I test drove 4 vehicles yesterday...

Seems like you have alternatives with the Altima for trips with the three of you. When your son is off to college you’ll probably seldom use the back seat. Things to consider if you are buying for the long haul. Have had no complaints from rear passengers in my Maverick hybrid.
  5. Home made tonneau cover

Nice solution to your needs. How much does the whole works actually weigh?
  6. What option was missing from 2022 options?

Sorry, hate auto dim mirror, glad it’s not standard. I’ve had six eye surgeries and the standard flip mirror gets dark enough; the auto dim has too much glare.
  7. What option was missing from 2022 options?

    The Lariat has vinyl seats.
  8. Anyone having rust issues with their Maverick?

    That’s all any manufacturer covers.
  9. Expandable Camp Trailer - Tow with Hybrid

Found this interesting camping trailer while researching some boat info. For those looking for a lightweight camper this might be the ticket. Only available as reasonably priced plans, no finished units. https://woodenwidget.com/Slidavan.htm
  10. 2023 Ford Ranchero is a Brand-New Unibody

I think this is someone’s flight of fantasy. It makes no sense for Ford to build a truck so similar to Maverick. The Maverick is being sold in South America so the conjecture that a “Ranchero” would be sold only there doesn’t hold much water either. Looks like automotive editorial filler to me.
  11. Maverick vs. The Economy [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Funny, I can remember back in the 70s and 80s, 8% was considered a good rate for a home mortgage. We’ve been spoiled for a number of years now.
  12. Ohio Thinking of using these wheels on my future XL Oxford white but…

Pretty sure those are rear wheel drive wheels and they will not safely work on the Maverick.
  13. How much are you paying for the extended Ford Warranty

Grainger Ford in Iowa was offering the same pricing as Flood. Do not know if they still are, but that’s where I got mine.
  14. 10 months wait! xlt lux 360 hybrid finally home

One week short of a 10 month wait for me. Been driving my hybrid XLT lux for a month now. It’s everything I’d hoped for. I also had a great dealer experience with Bryan Hawkinson at Waconia Ford in Waconia, Minnesota.
  15. Hood Deflector or Film to prevent rock chips on paint?

This This can be an issue with any vehicle, not just Ford… stone chips happen.
  16. Ope, Minnesota Thread? Best Thread.

I’ve had my XLT for a month so no winter experience yet. I like shiny wheels so I got new alloys and Michelin CrossClimate2 for 3 seasons and am putting Bridgestone Blizzaks on the XLT wheels for the winter. I’m a believer in winter tires and have had no trouble getting around with them and FWD...
  17. Ope, Minnesota Thread? Best Thread.

No direct experience, but my brother ordered a Maverick from the Rochester Ford dealer last September. They wanted his F150 on trade immediately. So when my brother needed a second vehicle to drive over a weekend, they loaned him a new F150. He has been happy with how he has been treated. Don’t...
  18. 02 Priority for over 2 months! WTF?

Cool your jets. I was at Priority 2 for 5 months. If they don’t have the parts, they can’t build the trucks.
