  1. Temperature Displays, Dash and Screen

The dash display shows the external temperature. The temp shown on the infotainment screen is what you have your HVAC set to via the temp dial.

    Chicagoland Maverick Club

Thanks for saving my bacon...err...commitment to finding a place. Looks like a good location, I'd say just pick a Saturday over the next few weeks and we'll see what happens.

    Chicagoland Maverick Club

Regarding my 9/21 Chicagoland post on a local meet & greet, I have some news. I fell off a ladder while cleaning windows on my house and will be laid up for awhile. No broken bones but my 68yo body is not happy...my left knee, left shoudler and neck are quite sore. Doc tells me to lay low for...

    Chicagoland Maverick Club

Are the Chicagoland Maverick Club members interested in a Saturday or Sunday Meet & Greet sometime in mid-October? (ie before it gets too cold or snowy to spend time outside checking out each others' Mavericks and enhancements). Thinking a mid-October weekend date to stay away from all the...
  5. Total HP and Torque?

Gosh, thank you Woodhawg. I like being called a young pup! I'm quitting one P/T job soon, but keeping my other P/T job so I get out of the house. Getting older just means finally being smart enough to use the right tool for the job, instead of bullying through tasks. And Woodhawg, you never...
  6. Total HP and Torque?

It would be interesting to see a Hybrid Maverick on a FWD dyno. That way we'd see how the ICE and battery/traction motor blend, and what HP and TQ curves are delivered to wheels. I will admit to being somewhat surprised how responsive the Hybrid is. Its not fast by any means but its sprier...
  7. Questions on trim upgrade/general issues.

Just my quick answers to your questions (albeit long-winded), and I'm sure you will get varied repsonses. 1) I think either an XLT or Lariat have the same chance of being build, while the XL trim level is a known constraint. One of the major parameters on when/if your order moves to production...
  8. GAS TANK REMOVAL

All kidding aside aquaman14, I hope your gas tank repair goes we.ll I'm sure with all the DIYers on MTC, there will be other punctured gas tanks as folks enhance their Mavericks.
  9. GAS TANK REMOVAL

I guesses on why needing to remove the gas tank: - Was cleaning the DIY spray-in liner out of the front bed threads and hit the gas tank (ala Ford assembly line on some 2022 Mavs). - Seriously whacked the gas tank while off-roading or hit debris in the road? - Wants to install a 30gal tank...
  10. 5.24% financing

Welcome to MTC from another Elmhurst Maverick owner. Took delivery of my Lariat Hybrid via Roesch Ford in early March. Check out the Chicagoland Maverick club here on MTC (click on "Clubs" near top of each page). If we get enough members perhaps we can have a meetup in the near future.
  11. No response from Ford 2023 to 2024 Maverick order

I received all normal emails updates on my 2022 order that got rolled out to a 2023. I never received any 2023 Ford email updates even tho I confirmed my email address was correctly entered on my 2023 order with Ford CSRs. So I just ended up calling 800-334-4375 about every two weeks. CSRs...
  12. C/D article & render of possible Toyota Corolla based pickup truck to compete with Maverick

We all know Toyota and other manufacturers are going to enter the compact truck market. But I'm surprised its taking Toyota so long to get it into production. A 2027 version may hit the dealers later in 2026 - geez, that's almost 3 years from now! I just looked at what 2023 Corolla Crsss Hybrid...
  13. Newbie at Ordering from Dealerships: Is my order actually submitted for production?

OP, since you received the confirmation email you should be go. But if you want to double-check if your order was correctly submitted to Ford, call or chat with Ford Customer Service. They'll need your sales code and order number to pull up an order in their system. Then they can confirm you...
  14. Longevity of the OEM Michelins.........

Interesting tidbit: The Ford OEM Michelin Primacys are made to specific Ford-OEM specs. Their tread depth is 8.5mm verse the exact same non-Ford spec tire is like 11mm. This is a common ploy by OEMs to mount name brand tires on new vehciles but save $$$ as they buy in bulk...deeper tread costs...
  15. Future Maverick Competition?

I think there's a few manufacturers seriously R&Ding a compact truck as the Maverick has shown there's a big demand for them, be it a EB or Hybrid. BUT none have been seen testing on American roads even in camouflage trim. Until we see other brands' compact trucks testing on US roads, the...
  16. Best Hood Bug / Rock Deflector?

AVS makes the Bugflector II that attaches under the front of hood via existing holes and does not touch the topside of hood. Only issue is some MTC members (myself included) have had a difficult time getting all 4 underhood OEM holes to match up with predrilled holes in the deflector...nothing...
  17. It’s Here! - 665 days

Congrats on getting your Mav, and in my favorite color! Waiting 665 days had to be rough. I got my 2022 cancelled VIN rolled over to 2023 but only had to wait 480+ days...I can't imagine waiting almost 200+ more days. Just remember" all good comes to those who wait".
  18. New to site

Welcome to MTC! Lots of informative threads here on pluses/minuses of the Maverick but most owners are overall pleased with their purchase. The Maverick is a canvas for adding accessories and other modifications. Just keep a running total on your enhancements as some folks have found ways to...
  19. Kids Pedal Cover Project

When I viewed the pictures my first thought was "Oh to be young again, and flexible & small enough to get into a footwell area". As a 67yo with a few extra LBs around my stomach I couldn't comfortably reach those pedals like those kids, let alone get back upright without my knees making strange...
  20. Hi...just joined the club...

Congrats on your new ride! I also see a tonneau cover on the bed which is a nice add-on. Just be careful with adding accessories, it can get highly-addictive as many of us have found out. But its alot of fun doing so.
