Thank you so much for digging in on this, I know there's not much I can do but if you need someone to run some things down or try something I'd be happy to help. My ODBII dongle comes tomorrow.
I'm not sure why mine wouldn't. Another interesting tid-bit my son was using his iPhone13 last night and saw the same Bluetooth dropping issue.
Maybe it's a firmware issue on the Sync. Maybe another trip to the dealer.
I have been having a very frustrating time with my Google Pixel 6 (newest most current HW and SW) and my XLT Lux infotainment system and Bluetooth dropping consistently. AA also drops consistently and can take up to 5 minutes to reconnect. I did buy the Motorola MA1 dongle and while it works...
I want to run a dash cam only when the car is on so it turns on/off with the ignition.
The "cigarette" lighter is always on.
Where can/should I pull power from to power my cam?
Did you read the instructions? I know that sounds dickish because you'd think you wouldn't need to. I had the same problem and it says something like, plug in your phone first to get AA running, then unplug it and plug in the adapter and magically it appears to work.
Happy to talk through it...
I removed it to install the tailgate damper (damn I love that!) and no desire to hang onto it. If anyone wants it it's yours for the cost of shipping.
I'm in SoCal and can drop it in a USPS flat rate box to anywhere in the US for maybe <$10.
